  1. Check out some of the classic cars on this nostalgic drive about. Thanks to Cruiser for this one........
  2. Bad ECUs are rare. Since you have only one fault code which points to exactly the problem you are having, your ECU should be fine. Otherwise there would be more codes and/or drive-ability issues. Occasionally the 60-pin ECU connector pins can get depressed especially if it's been disconnected and reconnected many times, so do a good eyeball check for that. Spray some good contact cleaner to both sides also. Your symptoms all point to an open circuit from the AW4 speed sensor signal to the ECU to me.
  3. No. You have an open or short (wiring problem) from the speed sensor to the ECU or the branch circuit to the TCU causing your AW4 shifting problems. Your Innova code reader is for an OBD2 system - useless here. Since you have a 95 OBD1 harness/system (I think ?), you need to start from the speed sensor point-to-point continuity checking to see where the fault is. To do that you will need an accurate wiring diagram / FSM for whatever you have installed.

  5. Bummer. You say you are a complete 95 HO harness except for the tails. So, depending on what cluster you have, have you tried the IGN key sequence to check for OBD1 fault codes? I don't know what your Innova reader reads. AFAIK, the only code reader that can show OBD1 fault codes is the dealer proprietary DBRIII reader using the test port.
  6. Heck yeah! That's like going from 3.07 to 4.10 gears. But if your nephew is a speed freak he ain't going to like it because you killed his top end.
  7. If that header you bought is stainless you should be golden. I put on a Mike Leach header like the below back in 06; no cracks at all. The key I think in preventing cracking is quality stainless steel for the header along with quality engine mounts.
  8. What about a flex stainless steel manifold that won't crack? http://www.carpartstoyourdoor.com/jeepman9199.htm
  9. So what will you be doing out in Park City? That will be quite a culture shock coming from Long Island. My son lives not too far away in SLC.
  10. Twas a great road race. Marcos was probably the superior driver, but AJ's Chevy clearly was more powerful than the Petty Ford. AJ beat him out every time on the restarts, and Marcos just didn't have the HP to get around him at the end.
  11. Hell of a slam-bang race as per usual at the Glen. Sorry mate, your boy came up just short. Both Marcos and AJ gave it everything they had.
  12. And they're off! I love the road courses; going round and round making left turns gets boring. Taking bets Danica crashes before lap 75.....................
  13. Marcos is normally the man and rules at the Glen, but the way Jeff Gordon has been NASCAR born-again, he'll have some tough competition. I like both of those guys. The big one starts in about two hours............
  14. Steap? hills in Birmingham? You live in the UK mate?
  15. Only way I see that can happening is because there is a "foreign" battery hot wire run directly to the fuel pump circuit after the relay. Even if the relay contacts were shorted closed, the pump should only run with the key switched to IGN. Pull the fuel pump relay then hook up the battery and see if it runs. If not, the relay is internally shorted. If the pump still runs, I'd start at the fuel tank looking for a hot wire and work your way back.
  16. The frame and shock mounting is completely different in the rear between the long and short beds. Here is a good writeup for the short beds: http://comancheclub.com/topic/42029-comanche-rear-sway-bar-short-box/
  17. You mean you can hear the pump running constantly when the battery is hooked up? Even with the IGN key off?
  18. Yes about 2-1/2" now after a few years, via MT leaf springs and Teraflex shackles on the rear and OME 3" lift coils on the front.
  19. Benny's been around a long time and knows his stuff. They sell a lot of RV cams for the Renix 2.5's and 4.0's. Mine at first was in an OBD1 system and no remapping was required.
  20. Make your own: http://comancheclub.com/topic/41054-sometimes-you-just-roll-bar-brackets/?hl=roll+bar+brackets
  21. I'm running a Hesco RVOB6 cam in the stroker, but I know that doesn't answer your 2.5 TBI question. The guy who will know is Benny Fulps at Hesco. Good go-to guy and knows about everything. I'd give him a call @ (205) 251-1472 and pick his brain.
  22. Great seeing your story helping the people out amigo, and thanks for posting it. You and your friends should be proud. Nice MJ and welcome to the club.
  23. That's because he only had one.
  24. ^^ That's also been discussed many times. It's an MJ with a jet engine used to dry the strip. http://comancheclub.com/topic/41401-here-is-an-interesting-comanche-for-you/?hl=englishtown&do=findComment&comment=419714
