  1. Remember Kelly Pavlik? How's he doing now? Still chained to a barstool?
  2. I have to rant. Is anyone as sick as I am of hearing Le-Freaking-Bron's name over and over 24/7 not only on the sports channels but even the international news channels? Jesus, it's like the Messiah returning to Cleveland. And this is the same year in which he and the other collection of individuals in Miami got blown out of the water in the finals by a real NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs. Miami should be celebrating that this overblown over-hyped turkey is going away and they can get back to playing roundball as a team again. And does anyone find it extremely offensive that the ridiculous LeBron Miami exodus theme song is now "I'm Coming Home"? This tribute music was originally intended to honor our vets returning home from Afghanistan, Iraq, and other miserable places we shouldn't be in. Some were returning with missing limbs and some were returning in a box. Now this music has been degraded to celebrate some clown "going home" to Akron because he was offered more $$ in Cleveland than anywhere else. What a freakshow. :fs1: :ack: :shake:    :fs2: :soap box:  :bs:
  3. Better stick to 80km max speed limit back roads. Without hills.
  4. Many times. Just make sure the stamped part numbers are the same or compatible.
  5. Actually she's a dudette meercat, and is coming into heat. She knows what's coming.................
  6. Yes, I tried re-using the D35 shaft w/o modification when I swapped in the D44. Same 3" lift as you except I have an AW4 tranny. In checking clearance it looked like I had a good inch or more slip at the tranny, so I reused it. Drove it for awhile docilely breaking in the new D44 gears, but the first time I really got on it and smoked the tires, I got a big BANG from the shaft bottoming out when the rear end squatted down. I limped it home, pulled the shaft, and luckily there was no visible damage. Needless to say I swapped the D35 shaft for one an inch shorter with new u-joints. Maybe there is more slip clearance inside the BA-10 tranny, I don't know. But I'd get it shortened if it were me.
  7. Guess I've had maybe thirty bikes over the years, and I keep coming back to singles. The simplicity and ease of maintenance is a big plus. And nothing sounds better than a big 4-stroke single at speed. lil_loco, even had a Yammy 400 DT, if that's what you are referring to, but that was the last 2-stroke I ever owned as the auto lube system locked up going across the steel grate York River bridge in VA and nearly ended it all for me. This is the latest: Image Not Found A custom German 500cc MZ Silver Star Rotax I cafe-ed. Build thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/17134-mz-rotax-cafe-racer-project/page-2?hl=thumper Recently sold it, and am looking for a nice BSA Gold Star to play with now. PFCLeist, since you are a new rider, beware of knobby tires on the wet. I've had a few dual purpose bikes, my favorite was a Honda XLR 650, but I'll never have another. The dual purpose bikes incorporate the best and worst from each world and they don't meet - the knobby tires will get you sooner or later on the street, and I have several broken bones to prove it. Get a street bike or an moto to suit your purpose. Sounds like a good street thumper would be best for you at this time mate.
  8. If you need a new foil let me know.
  9. Nice dog. Looks like a meercat.
  10. I'll sell a set for half that price. Shipping is free too.
  11. Too bad those new-fangled HOs don't have knock sensors.............. Yes, that was a good Renix feature. When they worked.
  12. Yeah, funny story. The zip tie was temporarily holding the brake line bracket in place, it's since been replaced with bolts. The load sensing valve was untouched, but instead of creating a longer push rod, I just kinda placed it level and tightened the bolt on the diff cover down. It's an 8.25, so there is a lip on the cover that prevented the bracket from being flush. Hasn't moved, and it works just fine. Why didn't you just use a little longer bolts and a couple of standoffs between the cover and valve bracket thick enough to clear the cover lip? If the bracket holes don't line up with the diff you can use a bracket from the D44.
  13. For the OBD1 HOs you can slot the CPS mounting holes and slide the sensor closer to the passenger side to advance the timing 2-3 degrees. Also a piggyback performance chip such as the Unichip or Jet2 can be programmed to advance the timing by altering the CPS signal (along with the IAT, TPS and MAP) to the ECU. I've done it with my Unichip (before it smoked) and verified the timing advance with a timing light. It was a slight performance improvement if you used higher octane fuel and wasn't worth the extra $$ for me.
  14. Interesting what's going on with the load sensing valve.
  15. I'll take that bet.
