  1. Can you imagine the shame getting run down for speeding by this back in the day? :rotfl2: http://www.justacargeek.com/2014/02/le-police-car-laconner-wa-renault-lecar.html
  2. Wrong. Actron and other manufacturers make an adapter cable for the 91-95 Chrysler OBD1 systems that not only scan, read, and cancel fault codes, but also perform tons of other diagnostic procedures. Even can be used with a laptop. W/o using the ignition key. Enjoy yet another Renix stone age kludge. http://comancheclub.com/topic/46667-actron-obd1-scanner/?hl=actron
  3. Good advice that. I'm definitely an offender, especially when just running errands around town. This will change now. Were you fairly close to home when this happened Dirty? I think the statistic is that 75% of all fatal accidents happen within 25 miles of home.
  4. Undo the $#!&ty splicework/hack job of the three wires that are tapped into the harness and go to the wire nuts. That's not factory and is probably the cause of your problem. Crap - Gog beat me...............
  5. Why are/were you looking for an S10 steering gear?
  6. Damn Dirty - glad you're okay mate.
  7. There's no special procedure for bleeding ABS brakes if you are just changing pads or calipers as long as the master cylinder didn't go dry during the bleeding procedure. Try adjusting the e-brake shoes so they just slightly drag while rotating the wheels, then re-bleed the system the normal way, i.e. RR, LR, RF, then LF. I don't think the moron hanging the calipers like that can cause excess pressure buildup in the system, but if the brake hoses are the originals, it would be a good idea to replace them first.
  8. This is true. So in addition to the stock IAT sensor on the intake manifold I have a separate IAT sensor drilled and tapped into my air filter inlet tube. I use this location in the summer to richen the mixture up a little, then during the cold months connect up the stock IAT sensor. You have to extend the IAT harness a little so it reaches both locations.
  9. I just take them apart and soak overnight in a bucket of mineral spirits. Use a paint brush to clean all the cracks and crevices, then blow dry. Reassemble using new brushes if they are shot. Grease the bearings and clean the commutator with fine Emery paper until it shines to ensure good brush contact. After all that it'll turn your engine at about 2000 RPM when starting.
  10. Are you using the correct GM MAP sensor for the 3.4 turbo? Check the voltage outputs. Does the Megasquirt massage the voltage outputs like the Unichip does? I know zero about the Megasquirt system.....
  11. At least it's not an F350..............
  12. MPF ships are part of the Military Sealift Command (MSC), which is a sub-command of the Navy. Just like the USMC. The Marine Commandant and the Navy CNO are both members of the Joint Chiefs, and both work for the SecNAV. But hey, we all had our jobs to do.
  13. Yeah, but the Marines couldn't get there unless the Navy carried them.
  14. They have been around for years. It allows you to adjust the MAP 5VDC reference voltage to control the A/F ratio. You can make your own: http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoMAPsensor.htm

    This it?
  16. I'll check the measurements tomorrow.
  17. Nothing there on mine............
  18. Looks like some kind of tag was there. There are two plugged holes in that spot that look like pop rivets once lived in. Is this the place Bo?
  19. I've never found the serial and/or model numbers on mine. :dunno:
  20. I believe the dog part. :rotf:
  21. That's what happens when you buy the el-cheapo $10 rubber mounts. Factory mounts are still available and will last at least ten years minimum unless your rig is strictly offroad or you live on Mars.
  22. Work well? I guess if you never want to slide the seat they would. Looks like they will raise the seat too high also. Good luck.
  23. ^^ What is that creature getting into (I guess) the MJ? A balding skinny woman? I don't watch movies.....................
  24. Okay - now I believe it.
