  2. i used the performance products on my old 88 mj and it worked fine.i try to stay away from dorman on the balancers.have had way to many of them fail after 6 months of us.
  3. i used it on my gfs 95 4.0 zj.it helped alittle when it was extremely hot outside.the factory started using these on later 4.0s because exhaust manifold heat could cause the center injectors to vapor lock especially during very hot days.
  4. damn didnt know they started making that now.i can save my gfs 95 zj front axle now.
  5. it takes an allen wrench in the hole.also make sure the bleeder end is facing up when installed.
  6. the cherokee rear pans will work but they require alittle cutting and bending.i just did this on my 86,take your time cutting the old floor pan out.it takes a little patience plus a good spot weld cutter or drill bit and a air chisel is nice as well.
  7. usually when reverse acts up its the trans itself.
  8. i used the hesco water pump and t stat housing on my old 88 mj.the w/p had a bad bearing after 2 days of use that of course they wouldnt warranty and i never could get the t stat housing to seal right.i put a parts store gmb pump and the factory housing back and had no problems.
  9. luk clutchs are all i use at my shop.luk actually makes alot of the oem clutchs

  11. where is the ground for the instrument cluster in an 86 mj?my cluster goes haywire when you turn the dash lights on and i want to check the ground.
  12. i ordered mine and they got here friday.ive got the same problem being 6'1 as well.
  13. the nexen roadian a/t is a good tire as well.
  14. mine are way worse than that.i went ahead and ordered the cherokee rear pans from quadratec(the key parts brand).i'll see how they fit when they get here.
  15. did you use rear cherokee floor pans for your replacements?
  16. i bought the key parts front floor pans for my 86 comanche.after cutting the old floors out they were rusted out way more than i expected.has anybody used the rear cherokee pans for the comanche or is it just replace with sheetmetal.of course my seat risers are totally gone.the passenger isnt too bad but the driver side is completely gone.
  17. i went to order the cr laurence window and was disappointed that it showed unavailable at this time.did you get yours and how did it fit?
  18. i think the blue connector is one of the diagnostic connectors that chrysler used.
  19. thanks ,i may try that.its already broke so it can't get any worse.
  20. thats what my original box did.i robbed the module out of my gf's 94 zj and everything worked.on the box they say zj or xj or yj but the only difference i see is the zj box is twice as big as the mj box.it plugs up and everything works.ive went through several delay modules in my gf's 94 zj.when I'm at the pick n pull i grab everyone i see and test them as backups but unfortunatly ive went through them in the last several years.my local pick n pull has been getting scarce on having xjs to rob parts from and you never see a mj there.
  21. i am .no hurry just whenever you get to it.tackling the floor board rust right now.
  22. thanks, its definitly bad as i took a zj module and plugged it in temporarily and it parks itself now and the delay works.
  23. yes the box is what I'm after.
  24. looking for a good wiper delay module for my 86 mj.please not one if you don't know if it works or not.
  25. the end of my kickdown cable broke off when i tried to hookup my new weber carb.the carb end must be a little larger so when i went to hook the cable up the plastic end broke off.does anybody know of a source for this cable?i looked online but didnt see anything.i know the 86 with the 2.8 is the redheaded stepchild of mj's but it serves the purpose for right now.i would gladle swap the 904 out for something else if anybody has any suggestions.it is a 2wd for now but plans for 4wd are in the future so i don't want to spend a fortune on a 2wd tranny.
