  1. we use 1-800-radiator at our shop because they deliver the same day usually if we order early in the morning.the only bad part is 1-800 will only warranty radiators if they are defective at the tank seems.if a core rots out or busts, then tough.i've only had it happen once in the 10 years we've been dealing with them.i bought an all aluminum radiator from radiator classic off of ebay and i've had it on for about a year so far and was very happy with the price and fit.i think it was like $160-$180 shipped.
  2. i work in a tire shop/garage and we see alot worse than that every day.as long as it doesn't appear to leak there then you should be just fine.
  3. my mj used to get hot on hard pulls in hot weather as well.between a partially clogged radiator and crappy expansion tank it would get hot.i switched to a new all aluminum radiator off of ebay and done away with the expansion tank,it stays a consistent 195-200 degrees on the interstate now, even at 75-80 mph at 95 degrees just yesterday.
  4. i've got an apn and it needs the intake grinded down alittle to fit around the 99-up intake as well.it fits 98 and lower intakes fine.
  5. the zj's don't have any type of valve like the mj or older xjs.by the time chrysler took over jeep they done away with the valves.i never saw a point of these valves.
  6. i've already got factory mj buckets and want to put zj buckets in it.if i used the mj bracket and adapters would everything be a simple bolt in procedure?i would like it to be a simple bolt in and no cutting up the floor.if so put me down for a set.
  7. the only real problem they made in the bumper was having a reciever hitch made in it.let's really be practical about this,mj's aren't made for towing.the brakes are only modest at best without having to stop extra weight behind you.very few people have trailer brakes hooked up to there trucks to aid in stopping.i hauled 1800 lbs of scrap to the recyling yard yesterday in the bed of my truck and i prayed no one would pull out in front of me.i never intend to hook any kind of trailer to my truck as i got other friends full size trucks i can borrow for that purpose.i've had my rear bumper on now for a year and a half now and have hooked several chains and tow straps to the rear to pull out stuck larger trucks and it has worked great.i don't feel like i got took but glad i got to get one of the last ones before they ceased production.i actually put a flip down license plate frame over the hole to hide the reciever hole.
  8. glad i got my rear bumper from jcr before 1 person on here stopped that.
  9. check your ground to tailight harness.the pump grounds itself through the tailight harness.
  10. i never expected increased power from a water pump.i was needing to replace my leaking pump and simply wanted to upgrade to a better pump.i did call when i noticed the pump was leaking and they said it had no warranty as it was a performance part and that was that.i don't blame them for the t-stat anyway as they don't make the t-stat,just sell them.like i said maybe i got a bad batch of parts and everything else they sell is great but the piece that really got me was the tps adapter.for the price of that little chunk of aluminum they don't even give you longer screws that you need and it won't allow proper tps adjustment without slotting your tps.i wouldn't be mad if it cost $50 and you had to modify it but i think i gave over $120 for it a year and a half ago.for that price it should be perfect.
  11. i'm not saying there stuff is junk, maybe i just got a bad batch of parts.i was just wondering if anyone else has had bad luck with there products.
  12. last year i ordered a few things from hesco.i got a hgh flow waterpump, high flow t-stat housing and t-stat and the pricey hesco tps adapter to use ho throttle body with a renix sensor.the t-stat housing kept leaking so i had to have the machine shop resurface the housing so it was true and no more leaks,no big deal.the t-stat stuck shut and failed within a year,i replaced it with a mopar piece, once again no biggie.the high flow waterpump has seeped ever since i put it out of the weephole until the seep turned into a leak so i replaced it with a new gmb pump, starting to get a little upset now considering the price of the pump.the final straw has been the tps adapter.i've had a few idle problems ever since i installed the adapter.i blamed it on not being able to get the proper tps voltage because i figured that my tps was going bad.i purchased 2 at the pnp and neither one would go down far enough.my voltage would not go below 1.15 volts at idle.i bit the bullet and purchased a new mopar tps for $120(Ouch) and it also wouldn't go below 1.15 volts so i had to take dremel and slot my brand new factory tps sensor to get the tps down to .90 volts.idle problem gone and tranny shifts good again.maybe i got a bad bunch of parts and the rest of the stuff is great but i'm very dissapointed.what pissed me the most is the waterpump has no warranty and i'm surely not going to buy another one.i can buy 3 gmb pumps for the price of one hesco and at least they have a one year warranty.just want'ing to hear anybody else's experinces with hesco.
  13. swapping the intake to a 99-up didn't do much for me.i swapped to a fresh ho head (93 model)and 99-up intake and newer tb all at the same time.besides fixing a leaky headgasket and replacing my noisy lifters it really didn't do anything.maybe the intake helps if you've got an oversize cam or head work but on a stocker it's not worth the money.
  14. i used the mopar mls metal gasket last year when i swapped to a ho head on my truck.no leaks and was a few thousands thinner than the stocker for a shade more compresion(not that i really felt it).most newer vehicles all have some kind of metal headgaskets on them from the factory anymore.doesn't mean they're any better or worse than paper gaskets.
  15. as i said once before,i'll be down for a set of brackets to put zj seats in a mj.i already have factory buckets, just want a newer seat that's not worn out and my local j/y is full of nice zj seats.
  16. does anyone know if mopar still has a factory tps sensor for renix 4.0 with a/t?i've tried several j/y sensors and they either don't last or aren't very good.i hate aftermarket sensors(especially for renix).it's an 88 model as well, thanks
  17. joints are not servicable,sorry.
  18. mine didn't leak until i changed the balancer.had to do the job again.
  19. block the vacuum off to the booster and see if it goes away.if so then you've got a bad booster.
  20. i would definitly buy a set if you made a set to bolt factory zj seats in.my factory mj buckets(especially the drivers side)has had it.
  21. makes me glad i got my bumpers while they were still making them.can't really blame them for not making them anymore.how many rear mj bumpers did they really sell?many people say they'll buy them, but just talk or don't have the funds.besides after one person on this board bitched about them and all it takes is one person to file a lawsuit who could really blame them.i used to be into ford turbocopes and parts were the same way, people asked for them, somebody stepped and reproduced them and they didn't sell many and are now out of business.
  22. hokie83,you've probably just got a bad nss on your truck if it's an aw4.i had to replace mine several years ago.they are pricey,or you could just tie into the connector under the hood and use a toggle switch.i've done it for several customers with mj and xj's that couldn't or wouldn't pay several hundred dollars for a new switch.
  23. went to the pnp yesterday and couldn't find a single 300 6cyl ford anywhere.plenty of 302 and 351s but no 300.i'm not buying new rocker arms to try this,so does anybody else want to chance this?
  24. are you talking about ford 300 6cyl arms?if so i'm going to grab a set at the pnp this morning and try it.they only charge like $2 apiece.what have i got to lose.
  25. i don't know about the s-10 handle.i bought a new one from the parts store and it wouldn't fit my tailgate, maybe others have had better luck.i got lucky and got an excellent used chrome one from a member here.
