I'm glad they didn't......... makes our trucks that much more unique. And don't you enjoy the hunt just a little? I giggle like a school girl whenever I find an MJ tail light....... :D

Thanks for the link! -
It looks to me like the dakota tail overlaps the MJ tail opening...... sits OVER it, not in it....... if you dig what I'm saying. But I agree, still seems like some metal modification would be needed.

Are those decals being reproduced? That's one clean MJ. -
Is This Acceptable?

Problem with that setup is the coolant isn't flowing past the sensors. The temps will be a bit on the ambient side.... More reflecting the temp of the brass and heat of the coolant sitting in the small area in the brass block. -
Yeah since you went to all the trouble to get autographs and whatnot.... Seems the tribute is set. Archer team colors. Yep.

Man..... Am I glad that truck is NOWHERE near me. Looks like the body is nice. But I hear ya about that engine situation.... Tough call.

Englewood Colorado. I can't believe I didn't have a pen to write the guy a note to see if he'd part with it........ From the early style license plates, I'm thinking it's possible they're the original owner. Image Not Found Image Not Found

Stumbled on this when looking at one of our local yard's website. They posted they were now subscribed to Row52.com for their inventory listing. Seems to be a good site. Has a photo of the vehicle and where it can be found. You can sign up to get notices of new inventory for specific yards or other search parameters. Here's a link of what a search results page looks like: http://row52.com/Search/?Year=1986-92&LocationId=0&ZipCode=&Distance=Radius&MakeId=155&ModelId=2940&Page=1 Hoping this works better than the notification feature for Pull-n-Pay. I never get notified of new arrival Comanche's.

Diesel Jeep Comanche - $6500

Never ceases to amaze me how folks can post an ad for something obviously rare, modified, and asking a fairly significant price for ............ and no photos. -
Wow......... that's patience. I would have used a sawsall and cut it out just beyond the spot welds and then done all that tedious drilling at home. Nice to see that clean XJ will get fixed and kept.

Comanche Dually In Tx $2750
yellaheep replied to dancome433's topic in Craigslist/Marketplace/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
A 35 with all that extra leverage? I'd imagine hitting a pot hole too hard would snap the axles. Yeah unfortunately the duallies weren't a factory option so any one could bolt on the wheels, spacers and fenders. You'd like to think these were only to be found on Metric Ton MJ's..... -
Comanche Dually In Tx $2750

JC Whitney no longer has these fenders available. A company in Florida that made them still has the molds..... one of our members "Drachir" had them make him a pair.... was $700 IIRC. Wonder if this Dually will get down around $1000.....I might be a buyer then. With that damage and a salvage title..... thats about all its worth. -
LOL...... The odometer has enough digits to show 102K..... Probably got used very little but parked outside most or all it's life. Orig tires may not have worn out but very likely got dry rot and changed out ...... After all... It is 23 years old. The interior looks pristine. As long as the floors or unibody isn't rotted out.... It's a $3k truck.

I was wondering if you were loading up the trailer yet..... Would love to but on line auction buying is the suck..... And I can't figure out how to contact the place it's at..... The "contact seller" link takes me to a generic auction website.....

I'll have to be a party pooper and say nay-nay to that front. That's just wrong. Want a YJ, buy a YJ. Poor MJ. :(
