OK, I will ask for more. Like spell check, punctuation, and spelling things out instead of using stupid texting codes. That way we don't have to decipher whatever language you are typing. Willy

:rotfl2: Yeah, you see a lot of them in Walmart on a Sunday afternoon. :ack: The people of Wal-Mart did come to mind. :rotfl2:  Willy

I'm a big fan of the side bolsters. It's nice to be able to go around a corner without sliding half way across the truck. I can't stand the seats most vehicles come with recently that are designed for McDonald's grazing water buffaloes. :shake: Willy

Do you realize an AX-15 is a transmission and a D-44 is an axle and your question makes no sense? i was wondering if i had to upgrade to an ax-30 transmission for the dana 44 axle? Where are you getting this information? :hmm: Time to find a new source. Willy

What are you trying to do? Find stronger axles that will be easy to swap under an MJ? If so these are not what you are looking for. The front axle in a '93 Dodge has the differential on the passenger side. This will require swapping your transfer case too. It is also set up for leaf springs. You would need to cut/fabricate/buy all of the front suspension brackets and weld them to the Dodge axle. The rear axle also will not bolt in, but if you can handle the front the rear will be easy. And It begins

May people (self included) feel the perfect wheelbase for wheeling a jeep lies in the 106-108" range. It offers the best of the short 93-96" with out loosing the climbing abilities of the 113-119" long... NICE JOB!! CW Unless you only wheel a single obstacle that never changes there is no such thing as a perfect wheelbase. It is all personal preference. Willy Is that so.. do yourself a favor and check out competition vehicles. Like those used in Neurock. You will find a continuity of wheelbases in the 106-110" range. The size of the wheel that's best under the vehicle is directly effected by wheel base. Too much and the "ratio" is thrown off. Too little and its not stable. 35-37 works best at the 93" on the wranglers while 37-40" is better on the XJ and 42-44" is for the 120" .. Now this is not looks. Just think of the driveability of a 44" tired MJ. Look good yes maybe, but imagine the axles and work required to make this work reliably offroad? ALL this effected directly by wheel base... It's far more than an arbitrary number.. Sorry man, but I gotta figure these competition guys know more about what works best than you or I.... CW Yes, it is so. The competition buggies prove the point even more - it all depends upon personal preference and where/what you wheel. The competition courses work well with a 110" wheelbase. Check out the local rigs of NE Oklahoma and you'll see plenty of vehicles with wheelbases of 120" and longer. It all depends upon the type of wheeling you like to do. Looks like a pretty nice shop. Where is this work taking place? Willy- 32 replies

This game is infuriating. Apparently the Yankees added a couple of umpires to the payroll for the playoffs. It's one thing when the players screw up, but when the umpires are missing basic calls that is ridiculous. The third base umpire should be fired immediately. :shake: Willy

Jakeman's Progression **SOLD**

I agree. That definitely isn't a good spot. It is a rock magnet sitting there. Willy -
I miss TSC. :shake: I'll have to see if I can find those somewhere around here. Our local farm supply chain, Del's, is owned by TSC but doesn't have anywhere near the selection of cool stuff. Willy

Thanks. I already did the exhaust. Check out the post at the top of this page. That's what started all of this. Willy I think your last pic is what CW was talking about. From the angle of the camera, it looks like the shock will hit the exhaust if mounted in the outer-most position. After going back and looking, I can see you have plenty of clearance! Now I see what you're referring to. That last pic does make it look close. The exhaust has plenty of room. You can kind of see in the next to last pic how much clearance the exhaust has on the right. But then we won't be able to guess what Craig Sager is going to wear. :( I have enjoyed Tim McCarver and Joe Buck over the years, but I feel like McCarver has been easily distracted lately. Like somebody sits something shiny in front of him and he completely forgets the point he was trying to make. Now if there is some hot bar maid that likes to visit I can understand the distraction. Willy

You just need to watch a couple of Joe Morgan commentaries. TBS won't seem anywhere near as bad. :rotfl2: Willy

Running it on the Wife's MJ. In my opinion it is the best "bolt on" kit available. I really like the clearance provided by the curved arms and the recessed belly pan mounts. The belly pan also helps stiffen the unibody. The worst thing I can say about it is that there is no way to service the transmission without dropping the belly pan - which the front suspension is attached to. Fortunately that doesn't need to be done too often. Once you do it a few times it really doesn't take that long, but it still isn't something I look forward to. But I'll gladly live with that given all the other benefits. The control arms mount to the belly pan with superflex joints. Bushings are used at the axle end. Since it is a radius arm design the bushings are required to relieve the binding that is inherent with this suspension design. Yes, the upper arms are adjustable so that you can change the caster angle. Willy

Aftermarket Exhaust Headers for '87-'90 Renix Setups

If you wanted to remove the EGR you could use a HO header. APN has one for $130. Willy -
