That is not what takes it out of the system, what does is age of the truck typically anything 1988 and older is no longer fully in the system and only shows basic info...
Nope. external 84-86, went internal in 87 with the introduction of the 4.0, and back to external around 94 when the 4.0 went external.
All 2.8s will be external.
Yup I rarely deal with the 2.5L engine, I grouped it in with the 2.8...
Your truck is out of the system but the service date is still available...
In-Service Date: March 18, 1986
You also Have an outstanding recall on the truck but the code is unfamiliar to me...
Can not locate the build date, but they do have the in service date...
In-Service Date: June 10, 1986
You have an outstanding Recall on the Truck but I am not familiar with the code
Normally you can check your VIN here but your truck is too old so You will have to go into a local dealership and ask them about the recall...
http://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/jeep/index.jsp?screenName=recall&country=canada&emailUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fapp01.extra.daimlerchrysler.com%2Fwccs%2Fca%2Findex_en.jsp
Go to your local autoparts store and Ask them if they sell PAPco Hardware and the Part # is 264-048 you should be able to buy them seperately or as a box of 12 I think but should be no more then $2.00 each or $24.00 for the box...
Here is the Catologue

Yes you Can but you will have to cut off the timing tab on the 87 because it will get in the way of the belt...
72-90
It is hard to see in the picture and is a minor trimming of that cylinder looking tab by the timing marks...
Sounds like your track bar is Done...
The Track Bar is what keeps your Axle centered under the Jeep...
Get that fixed ASAP or you could be in real trouble..
