Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. here's my 92 loaded for a delivery of jeep parts to my buddy in Pa
  2. there is no way I would run a used converter there is almost always crap in them and you can't get it out without rebuilding. Trust me I work at a tranny shop go to auto zone and ask for a price on a rebuilt I have a few flexplates cover shipping and ones yours.
  3. the only battery I have had do the sudden death thing was the o.e. Battery on my 04 unlimited so that is not just a optima problem but a battery problem.
  4. sounds like the igniton switch came loose and because of that the rod that connects the key to it got stuck. The igniton switch is on top of the coulmn in your conition it would prob be easiest to pull the column to fix.
  5. I have a red top that's at least 4 years old in a seasonal car never unhooked in winter and it still works great. Thanks for the discount codes!
  6. I fixed the exaust on the 92 so now it is driveable again but now it has death wobble at 50 LOL always somthing
  7. If you remove the valve in the back and delete it by a tee or plug off at the combo valve and even if you replace the combo valve by the master with one from a xj or yj you will have 100% pressure to the rear and could lock up the brakes. The mj combo valve supplys fluid to the load valve in the back and to a bypass (the second line) and if you loose front brakes it then sends fluid down that line for 100% braking power. The bypass line only sees fluid in the the loss of front pressure. Do yourself a favor and get a xj or yj combo valve and run one line back. In my opionion it is the safest soultion.
  8. if the glass is flat they can prob cut one and install but they will have to pull the whole window. It glues in like a windshild, the rubber you see is just for looks. It is not made anymore, but there is a how to on removing without damage. If you can't find one I do have one but I would worry about breaking it in shipping
  9. To clarify yes you use 4.0 pistions that are made oversize. The amount depends on how much the block is bored out at the machine shop. That is what the first reply said I just worded it different. Secondly your push rods have nothing to do with you connecting rods. Push rods go from the lifter to the rocker arm and the connecting rod goes from crank to pistion.
  10. There seems to be some confuison on the Dana 44s if you have a xj/mj/tj/zj Dana 44 with a 4.5 bolt pattern you can do a disk swap with the little drum brake. It is a oe design and equipment on tjs and zjs. What the orignal poster has if I understand right is a aftermarket rear disk kit. Those kits give you a ford or jeep rotor from the 80s that was orignaly used on the front. They then give you a chevy caliper to go on a custom braket which orginaly was also for the front. This leaves you with no ebrake but luckly some caddys had the same caliper on the back with a spot for a cable for the ebrake. It is all on the caliper and that is what you need.
  11. The lights you describe on the rollbar now with the "batman head" are orignal equip. Early xjs had the same lights on the front bumper as a option
  12. I would be up for some wheeling too, but worst case we should have a meet and greet. That way if some one can't wheel they won't be excluded.
  13. 1943 Willys mb. 69 years old 1968 Chevy c-10 44 years old 1971 Amc gremlin 41 years old 1982 Amc spirit. 30 years old 1985 Jeep cj7. 27 years old 1989 Jeep mj. 23 years old 1992 Jeep mj. 20 years old 2000 Jeep wj. 12 years old 2004 Jeep lj. 8. years old 30.44 average
  14. No there out of a 4 door and there grey. I would take $100 but shipping would be expensive due to the distance. Prob, not worth it.
  15. I need a good red drivers side door pannel for my 92 mj, it has a hocky stick arm rest crank windows. I also need the botom dash plastic that holds the ash tray, it runs the whole width of the jeep, it also needs to be red. I have alot of 97 xj parts to trade front clip, dash, heater box, seats, carpet, wiring, steering coulmn etc. thanks!
