  1. An 87 2wd could have either a D35 or a D44. Is it an automatic or a standard? Auto should have 3:55, standard could have 3:07,3:55, or 4:10
  2. A few people on here have their bumpers. At one time they were actually making sliders and rear bumpers for our trucks too, but have since stopped.
  3. Yeas, you can. But I had to tie something up when we did it. I switched from column shift to floor shift and still have the column shift column in the truck. When we did it my buddy tied something with a piece of coat hanger incase someone tries to use the column shift instead of using the floor shift. When we did my buddys, he removed the stalk like you are talking about.
  4. The sending units on the gas tank tend to rust/rot where the metal "tube" goes into the sender and down into the tank. I would definately check that before dropping the tank. It the sender is rusted in that spot it can be fixed (wildman has done it). Unfortunately, they don't make sending units for our trucks anymore. If you go to a parts store they will give you one for a cherokee and tell you its the same; but its not. They are opposite. here's a pic: (you can also see in this pic the metal tube I was talking about) If the shocks are from a cherokee then the fronts will work fine but the rears are different.
  5. I guess I'm with the minority on this one, I like it.

  7. If I put a 94 column in my 89 do I have to do anything with the ignition switch? or is it just bolt in?
  8. I'm not sure if it works with the ebay auction, since it looks like they will already be cheaper. With the 10% discount I think I still paid close to $100. I would send him a message and ask him
  9. Go here: http://madxj.com/ Click on the installing ball joints link. It shows how to get the knuckle off and some different ways of hitting it to reduce/prevent damage to the knuckle. Since you are replacing them, damage shouldn't be that important. But its a great write up
  10. The main problem your gonna have is the taillights. Cherokee taillights are not a bolt on replacment.
  11. I will be routing for the packers, as I hate the steelers. But unless the packers can run the ball the to the outside it will be a long day for them because, as Don said, they won't be able to run it up the middle against the Steelers D. This will cause Rodgers to have to throw the ball which will lead to alot of 3 and outs for the packers, not good. The Packers D, I think, will be the diciding factor in the game.
  12. A few people on here have used these injectors (I have some but havent put them in yet). Don (hornbrod) even has a deal worked out with him for a discount for comancheclub members.
  13. Sounds like a loose connection somewhere since it worked for a short time after you messed with the wires.

    Cow well hung :D
  15. RC spacers are not hub-centric nor are they anodized. For the same $100 you could of gotten a quality set of spacers... Are lug centric spacers street legal?
  16. That is blow-by, very common in our trucks. Some people splice a catch bottle into the line between the valve cover and the air filter. Others solve it by upgrading to the 96+ (I think its 96+) valve cover; it has a better baffle in it and stops the oil from getting into the ccv line. Mjeff has a write up on it. If you do the VC upgrade you need to use the newer VC gasket too.
  17. Some people run an extra ground from the battery to the fender.
  18. I would say to sell it JT. Especially if it will be a while before you get to use it, if at all. X2 if the one on your truck now is in nice shape.
  19. Doesnt wahoo or JT have a Laredo?
  20. Thanks for all the info so far. I guess I will be going with the BFGs. I need a set of 31's for the MJ and another set of 235's for the Blazer. My main concern with the blazer is how well the BFGs are on icy/snow covered roads. This is the wifes car that has the family in it all the time. Anybody can confirm how the BFgs perform on this type of road?
  21. Its time for Tires, and I have it narrowed down to two. Either BFG ATs or the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs, I will be runnibg 31s. What are everyones opinions on the duratracs? Ive read lots of opinions on the BFGs.
  22. Theres a Laredo for sale on my local craigs with a plow on it right now. But all my money will be going to order the rest of my lift parts and tires. Otherwise, I would be looking at it. I think the Chiefs and the Laredos are the rarest MJ's (other than the street and thunderchief)
  23. I switched from column shift to floor shift and used the same cable. Just rerouted thru a different hole in the fire wall.
  24. CPS? Did you try unplugging the CPS connector and plugging it back in. This happens to mine now and then.
  25. can't you just disconnect the fuel line from the fuel filter and run it into a bucket and turn the key forward to see if the sender/pump is sending fuel?
