  1. :agree: Know idea what you said.
  2. I think 3 is about the limit where you can use stock CAs. I would get some adjustables or atleast some fixed after markets. I just ordered upper and lowers from hellcreek. If your interested I may have a set of fixed uppers from rubicon express in great shape and an adj trac bar from rubicon express for sale.
  3. Command trac and selec trac have to do with the transfer case, not the axle. Command is part time 4wd and Select trac is full-time 4wd
  4.
  5. It is probally the mechanical. Trucks without AC only have one fan.
  6. Have you done any work to it lately? If not, there shouldnt be ant air in the system. Have you checked the regular probs first? radiator, water pump, fan clutch
  7. I ordered them from here: http://teamcherokee.com/
  8. Dang Pete, You travel more in a year than I have in my life. Any future plans to move down to Ga?
  9. Anyone found a place that sells the rubber floor mats for our trucks. After I pull the carpet and eventually get the floors fixed Id like to put the rubber mat in instead of a carpet
  10. http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/cto/2214295882.html Thought id post this for the FC guys. This is cool too: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/2211014082.html
  11. Pete says to put powder on the floor, it will leave a trail where the water is coming from to help narrow it down. Door seals from a 97+ XJ are thicker and seal much better and cut down the wind noise. The actual window seals are very expensive but can be found at teamcherokee.com I would go to a junk yard and try to find a decent set. The window wipes (the ones at the bottom of the window on the inside and outside) are rediculously expensive. I found a very good set at the JY this week
  12. Thats weird, the Moog ones I got came with new ones.
  13. But when you consider 4 years of AMC (if AMC was the renix years) and 2 years of CryCo (the HO years), thats about 30,000 per year for AMC and 25,000 for CryCO. Not too far off.
  14. The ball joints press into the "C" on the axle. Only the stud on the ball joint will go into the hole on the knuckles. Did you get a split ring seat with one set of the ball joints? Looks like a round metal thing. That has to be set into the "C" to a certain depth.
  15. Atleast with the MJ, it will only be temporary. I will be putting my lift on as soon as it warms up and then I will try and find a good 4wd shop to do an alignment. Then they can also tweak the adj control arms and trac bar if necessary.
  16. They have 2 and 3 row. I got the 2 row all metal for around $130 shipped. I'm 99% sure they are on the left, I would call to make sure; they are very helpful with very good customer service and fast shipping.
  17. The upper is the same for all years but the lower is different. I found a guy with a brand new set (all 4) of moogs on craigs but they were for a newer XJ so I only got the uppers and had to buy the lowers. Not sure what the difference is. After reading the thread you linked it sounds like you may be OK but Id still prefer the correct part.
  18. If it is 2wd I think you just replace the whole assembly. I think just the bearings can be replaced but you need a press or something and it is cheaper just to replace the whole assembly. Someone else should chime in and verify this. I'm not positive since mine is 4wd
  19. So is this the case for all trucks/cars? This is NOT the case for all cars trucks. Some have completely different setups between the two, not that it should make a difference in an alignment.... and don't let them sell you a 4 wheel alignment as the rear end is not adjustable. When they say 4 wheel alignment, it mean that they adjust the rear end adjustments (if it has any) before setting the front end adjustments, this usually pays the tech about 1/2-1 hour more than a 2 wheel or front end only alignment. Our trucks only require a 2 wheel or front end only alignment.... 2wd or 4wd should not make any difference. I would assume then, that any car/truck that has leaf springs in the back are not adjustable. It would mainly be for vehicles that have rear control arms? I am getting tires put on the MJ and my 97 blazer. Would I be correct in saying my blazer also is not adjustable in the rear?
  20. So is this the case for all trucks/cars?
  21. What is the difference between alignments on 2wd and 4wd vehicles? The tire shop today was telling me they do free front-end alignments when you buy tires but you have to pay extra if it is a 4wd vehicle. Then he said something about lining up the rear wheels, how does that work?
  22. What are the differences? pros/cons of each? There is only a $5 diff per shock
  23. I ran new lines on my 94XJ and put a new radiator in it. The tranny lines entered on the left (drivers) side. I got it from radiator barn.
  24. In Rhode Island anything over 10 years old does not require title.
  25. The new way of having to log in is terrible. If you hit the wrong letter once it makes you type one of them capture things which are almost unreadable. Is it possible to make it so you can read the capture thing
