  1. I was looking at the treadwright wardens in a 31 size. At $80 per tire plus $37 shipping per tire then add mounting and balancing and an alignment I can probally get some BFG ATs for about the same cost if I buy local from a shop that offers free mounting/balancing and alignment.

  3. I got one from them for my XJ, I was very pleased with the shipping. The only problem I had was the bung for the tranny line was welded in crooked and it was hard to get it on w/out cross threading it. I sent them an email about it. They replied to my email and then sent me a free hat.
  4. Has anybody tried the floor pans from here: http://shermanparts.com/ecat/base/dropd ... &year=1989

    97 Blazer ABS

Its called taking your foot off the brake pedal, pumping it back and forth and steering the car where you need it to go. Thats why they put ABS on cars because people would freak out and just lock the tires up and wreck all the time, when its as simple as taking your foot off the brake and you can steer again. The above is from one of my knothead son's who was poking around while I was busy. I hope so. I was gonna say, maybe you need to call chevy and tell them they released a tsb for no reason.
  6. Yes, the red books are the factory FSMs, I have them for my 89 and they are a big help. Now that you say it one of them is for the ax15 After checking, it appears the ax15 change was mid 89.
  7. If you have an ax15 it was put in by a PO since 89's didnt come with an ax15. They may not have hooked it back up correctly.

    97 Blazer ABS

Yeah, after doing some resarch there is a TSB on the ABS system. It should have been a recall since it is a safety issue.
  9. I agree, a great show

    97 Blazer ABS

This is exactly how my Dad's '98 Blazer reacts when the ABS kicks on. No problems with the ABS that we know of, just the way its always been. I think your misunderstanding what I'm saying. This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Everything locks up. You cannot steer or do anything which is even worse because it is doing this on icy roads. In 2 days I have went thru a red light and just missed hitting someone and my wife went thru a stop sign and only avoided an accident because the other car saw her and stopped.

    97 Blazer ABS

I think so. I may be removing the fuse too, and only putting back in for inspections. I have read it may be the ABS sensor on the hub. They have to be removed, cleaned, and then a piece filed down before reinstalling. Something about air pulse readings or something like that.

    97 Blazer ABS

Slid on ice tonight and there appears to a problem with the abs on my 97 blazer, 4.3 auto I can feel the pedal vibrating under my foot and it makes a strange noise. Everything seems to lock up. Pedal does not go to the floor, but gets rock hard. Any of you chevy techs got any ideas. No ABS light, tho I have read about alot of ABS complaints on these trucks.
  13. That was sweet.
  14. Did you check the vacuum ball located in the front bumper, and check the vacuum lines going to it

    Checking in

Congrats on getting the adoption finalized. Have you come across any MJs down there that have the original hidden winch bumper? I thought I remembered you saying you had seen some down there in the past

    UFC 124 link

http://atdhe.net/ Go here and click the UFC 124 link. The koschek-st pierre fight starts near the end of part 1. right above the screen there is a link for part 2 to watch the rest of the fight.
  18. Theres a site http://www.the12volt.com/Default.asp? that has diagrams for almost all cars too.
  19. Cherokees have the hand e brake. I don't think they are available for MJs anymore. One pops up on ebay now and then tho. I would put a post in the WTB section.
  20. I am also thinking of trying the treadwrights when I get new tires with the income tax money. Jeff, which tires of theirs do you think are similar to the BFG ATs? What was the cost to have all 5 mounted and balanced?
  21. I need to do my entire exhaust too. Do the universal cats come with a flared pipe to except the front pipe/muffler?
  22. Definately seems to make more sense being in the corner where you have it now than where it was
  23. Congrats, man. Jobs are tuff to come by, especially ones that pay decent. Any benefits?
  24. What Don said. That end goes onto the metal elbow piece on the radiator. It doesnt have a plastic insert to go into it. The 4 metal tabs will act like a quick connect when you pucs it onto the radiator. Mine was the same way. Goes on here:
