Actually Pete that is the Lance Squire 1000, or LS1000 and was made specifically for mid-size trucks in the 80s. It was well equipped and had a 7'6" floor (most then and now were 6'9") which is absolutely perfect for a long bed MJ. I believe it weighed @1200lbs. I am curious why an MJ, when properly equipped, would not be capable of carrying a lightweight camper. What made it possible for these to work on a Dakota, Ranger, S10 or Tacoma in the 80s but not an MJ? If you wanted to put a camper on any of those trucks you had a list of upgrades you had to perform to do so. I am going to assume all of those upgrades could be done to an MJ, so what was the limitation? Only thing I can think of is the unibody portion of the cab was not as strong as a full ladder frame of the other mid-size trucks, but if that was the case the metric ton package would not have been viable I would think. Curious to thoughts.......

I saw on FB Marketplace they had a full kit for $1700. $400 for the manifold isn't cheap but considering the sales volume of these is likely pretty low, hard to argue. Cheaper than a stroker for sure.

LOL, not unless you wanted to get shot!

It's pretty damn cool for sure. But to me, the chrome trim on the headlights, chrome camper mirrors and diamond plate throw it off with the rest of it painted sand color.

difference between 4wH and 4wL

And to clarify further, it is recommended NOT to shift in to 4 wheel LOW while moving. -
Life changing

Holy cow...........glad she is ok! I may share this with my 14yr old daughter even though she does not drive yet. My 18yr son is actually very good about it, but my daughter is like most her age and completely attached to her phone. Can't say I haven't done it, so a good reminder that nothing is that important.

gotta say... this method of cargo transport hadn't occurred to me...

The owner probably pulls doubles for FedEx and zips that thing around like nothing LOL!! Then again...... -

That would be a perfect 5th wheel for an MJ -
Thanks Slug!

Anybody got a EGR valve w/transducer available? I think my EGR and/or transducer is going bad and every single parts source does not have one available. I don't have JY's or PNP's near me so hoping someone has a NOS, aftermarket or low mileage one they would sell. Thanks

That bedside has been listed at least twice before with no takers.

Good points, and as somewhat of a confirmation to that, I was looking at the AC Delco or Lares units on RockAuto. The ACD unit specs show 3 turns lock to lock and, yes, it is the same P/N for the MJ/XJ/ZJ. Thanks for the info

Minuit, it sounds like your speaking from experience, did ZJ boxes come with different gear ratios? If not, it would seem (to me at least) very unusual for a reputable reman company to change the ratio. If that is true then if I buy a reman'd MJ box I might end up with ZJ ratios? Asking because I think I may be in the market for a box soon and would consider a ZJ unit. I'd rather buy a quality reman unit than a used one with no idea of the condition. Then I'd have to get that rebuilt or replaced if it fails and I'm back at square one.

Congrats!

I got mine from coolwind57 on here, he had barely used them and was going to a set with higher flow rate. I was about to get mine from the same vendor you are looking at on eBay Warren before I got mine on here. Plenty of transactions with good feedback. KSuspension has a good reputation.

Been on a couple of test drives this afternoon/evening and happy to report still no leaks and definitely a noticeable difference with the 746 injectors. Seems to fire faster and no doubt it's smoother at idle and normal acceleration. Very happy with this upgrade, cost to benefit ratio is hard to beat.

As confirmed with Slug last night, all fuel line connectors use 5/16 o-rings. After swapping that size on the supply line in place of the 3/8 ones I still couldn't quite get it to click in place by hand, but it took almost no effort using channel locks on the metal collar of the supply line and the back of the fuel rail. I haven't driven it yet but have idled it and revved it for about 20 mins with no leaks anywhere so far.
-
Ha! Slug, I just went through my PDF parts manual and was about to post the exact same page! Stuff like this would keep me up all night, I have to have the answer knowing it is out there! So HO's must be the 3/8, but that is irrelevant to me and my 88 Renix LOL. Looking forward to buttoning up the job tomorrow and going for a drive with the Bosch 746s installed.

Well no surprise, this just adds to the confusion being the opposite of what RockFrog posted in the thread I linked in my last comment. I don't think the supply is 1/4, I haven't seen that size mentioned in any of the threads I've read. That said, I put 3/8 on my supply line tonight and could not get the hose to push over the new o-rings and click in place on the disconnect. I expected the new o-rings to be tight, but I put some real effort in to pushing it on with no luck. I have the 3/8 on my return line also but have not attempted to connect it back to the pressure regulator yet. So tomorrow I will try the 5/16 ones on the supply and report back along with which size seems correct on the return side.

I've read about 20 threads across here, NAXJA, cherokeeforum, and jeepforum and nobody clarifies this. What makes it harder is visually they look identical because they are only 1/16 difference in diameter. That said, the one post I've found that specifies says 3/8 is the supply line and 5/16 is the return line which makes sense the supply line would be slightly bigger.
-
Yeah, confirmed all that. I have new o-rings and saved the spacers. I am still searching for confirmation if the supply line and return line take the same size o-rings. Just came across an old post on here that said the supply line takes 3/8 o-rings and return line off the regulator takes 5/16. Logically that at least makes sense when you buy a replacement pack like Dorman 800-013 it comes with a pair of each size. I'd like to see another post somewhere confirming this, amazed that with all the threads on various Jeep forums about injector swaps and o-ring replacement for fuel line leaks there is never any clarification of what size goes to what line.
