  1. Its all good man...
  2. Thanks for posting up the links... I got some idea working in my head now... On top of a buddy going to the j-yard to pick the stok parts
  3. Thanks man. I was thinking of doing something similar to what you just showed me. Currently side lined with a hurt back so, it will be a day or two befor I can wrench again.
  4. Thats the part I am up to.. trying to figure out what to do with the t-case shifter. The trans I have didnt have the shifter part on it. Right now I am reaching down into the trans tunnel shifting the t-case... Not exactly ideal.
  5. I used the one that quadratec site listed as the part number. It worked great
  6. I forgot to mention I trimmed my rig a lil
  7. Also make sure you get the clutch master slave cylinder and hose. You will also need to do something with the t-case linkage, which is where I am at. Also keep in mind that if you buy a later model clutch master cylinder you will need to enlage the clutch pedal hole, or you can do like I am trying to do and reuse your old master by using the Advance Adapters flex line.. will let you know how this works out once the part arrives.. which should be any day.
  8. I am getting ready to do this swap on my xj here are some links http://www.jeeptech.com/convtrans/ax15swap.html http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312203 what I have also learned is.. the hose from the clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder is not available from the aftermarket unless you go through advance adapters, and they want 70 bucks for it.
  9. Tell your wifey happy birthday for me. I would be there but I have to go to work :fs1: But I did get Casper stripped today :hijack: the last useable parts beside the Block
  10. All of your points are right. I really agree with the disc comment, and the fac t that the 8.8 is a pig. It also takes a crap load of oil, especially if you start rotating the pinion angle
  11. Thats how most of the better tow hook kits come, including the factory ones. RigidCo, also goes a step further by running a plate all the way across the front to strengthen the whole area. A piece of 6" wide plate will do the trick. Stay tuned for how I build my next stealth winch bumper
  12. The are many scriptures that I could quote, but no need to do that. Just remember with God all things are possible, and as everyone has said... God never puts on us more then we can handle..... SOMETIMES i wish he didnt trust me as much
  13. I guess the motto there is "Gas is on the Right" I just hope he didnt have the old IH motor in there.. that things would have been toast after that run
  14. Pong is going the way of leaf up front, on the turd I used the RK 3 link set up. Pong is going to end up being linked in the rear and leafs up front... saves a lot of head aches for me.
  15. I would be all about them if I hadnt welded my #link brackets to the frame
  16. Whats the wheel base on this? ALso what is the roof height in comparison to the lowest point on the frame?
  17. I too have to stiffen the frame on both the turd and pong. My plans are to use 1/8 angle and plate. I also plan on increasing the weld are by drilling holes every few inches on center with a 11/2 hole saw.
  18. I got a bunch of my brackets from Ballastic Fab. I am pretty sure they make them for the Johnnny joint.. cause I got my joints from them to and thy are the 2.63 ones.
  19. I hope you went and took the MJ and YJ over there and flexed on the rock piles
  20. IN my area all ready pulled out and complete they bring 3-400 bucks on craiglist ussually. Less if advertised on jeep sites. Something about being able to pick them themselves or something  It isnt easy getting them pigs out from under a truck in the gravel :brows:
  21. Hecka god vin plate and title for a cj8 fetches 1000-1500 where I am from. Basicaly unless he like doing body work and welding.. the thing to do is buy a new frame set up for coils... and aluminum or fiberglass tub. Sell all useable sheetmetal to one of them eccentric cj8 guys.. and wheel this piss out of it.
  22. Did you see on trucks where they are building a 69 Scout 800A.... what a rig.. I had a 70, with the 304 :hijack: :hmm:
  23. I have an early set of Rusty's 808's (6.5) and they have been perfect.. even with winch and heavy bumper up front.
  24. Thanks for the posting... wish I had the time to go.
