  1. Thank you! What an awesome 2 door Cherokee
  2. Good looking truck. I did not know the heat shrink tip .
  3. Very nice . Any advice for power washing the engine bay?
  4. Yes! I’m always surprised at what makes its way through our neighborhood.
  5. Wow - amazing condition. Well deserved! Congratulations on MJOTM
  6. I live 5 miles away from a preserve and in a very developed area. 13 years ago a tortoise wandered into my yard -> Now, over a decade later, another Gopher tortoise happens by -> Super cool. Got home in time to stop my step daughter from dropping him off into a pond - . My son and I brought him back to the reserve to be with the other tortoises
  7. Your truck would have inspired me to get a Comanche. It’s very similar to the one that originally got me addicted to them. What a great looking topper too.
  8. Just my experience, but as much as it was upsetting, it ended up being a great thing. I 100 percent believe that things happen for a reason. They may not be be apparent at the time, but reflecting back on it will be the ah-ha moment. No need to apologize - we’re family
  9. Never thought of that! I will call around and probably do it that way
  10. I’m thinking I know where this is going
  11. Wood?! The Jeep emblem on the front is an awesome touch
  12. Another gem -> But not just for looks->
  13. Just caught up on the progress you’ve made. That lug nut was insane. Amazing that you were able to get it off, let alone not damaging the rim
  14. Mixed feelings about how the Sun visors came out. Not even close to the first time I redid them. First I ripped off the material and laid it over the new material to get an idea of how much to cut -> I had a lot of the backing foam left on the plastic, so I used a big metal bristle brush to get it off -> Then I just sprayed the visor and also the material and set it down on top of it -> Flipped it over and looped over and trimmed up the excess-> then I started on the passenger side. While separating the visor it broke -> By some miracle, I had another one in my spare parts bin, and it was a passenger side visor . It had been repaired with JB weld by somebody else at some point -> It was raised and needed to be sanded down so that it wouldn’t show through the material. By a second miracle I actually had sanding paper gritty enough to smooth it out -> Repeated the process with the headliner material on this one. Snapped it together and put in the mirrors. Then I discovered the drivers side mirror was broken . Just not my day working on this. Both visors have indents on the visible side which is very upsetting. I will just have to hope that they will pop out. I am probably just have to live with it for now -> If Joann’s ever gets some of this color in I’m going to get enough to do them over. But I will be paying someone to do it Don't know why it adds pictures to the bottom of my posts
  15. Thank you . You know, I was wondering how I would be able to get the material off the backing board too. Fortunately, the headliner material and foam had already fallen off. I did attempt to pull the material off my damaged one, but pulling on it was just tearing the board apart. Maybe letting something soak into the material like denatured alcohol . Very glad I didn’t have to figure that one out. The Sun visors were plastic, so you can just pull off the material and brush off the foam with a metal bristle brush. When you figure it out let me know .
  16. That’s pretty cool. You’re right, a great story to go with it.
  17. Not a lot to do to the MJ while it’s at the shop, so doing small things I’m able to do in the mean time. I’m going to do what NicknTime did with his winch and putting in dash controls. I have the exact same winch he has on his Jeep, so it is going to be a breeze to follow along with his installation video. I ordered two regular rocker switches and two winch control switches. One for power and the other for line in and out control -> Snapped them all in -> It’s strange but my dash has plates secured to the plastic for the switches rather than on a mount like my Cherokee?
  18. My new tires came in. BF Goodrich all-terrain KO2’s in 33x12.5x17’s. They look a lot wider than 12.50, but I like that ->
  19. Just awesome seeing one of our trucks doing hard labor and looking great doing it
  20. I just read all the build options on your first page. Do you have an ashtray light!? That’s something I haven’t seen but I didn’t know to look for it. Is that a 200 mph gauge that I see. Had mine parked for 4 years and I forgot what needed to be done to it too.
