wireless earbuds?

I’ve got a set of AirPods. They are great for school work because they can cancel out noise or let noise through, depending on the mode. The mic is also pretty darn good. The case does have some magnetic bits, so I wouldn’t recommend having the case in your pocket when doing metal work otherwise you’ll have metal shavings and rust stains on the case.

Depends on the application. If you already have an iPhone than Airpod Pro's 100%. I don't have an iPhone I use Pixel Buds and they are fine. I have some Jabra noise cancelling ones from work that are complete trash.

If you are using them for PC use, consider over-ears in which case I highly recommend the Sony XM4s. They are generally regarded as better than the XM5s and the noise cancelling is multiple times better than the best buds out there.

I’d second the Klipsch if you don’t have an iPhone. Sound quality is relatively poor on every set of wireless earbuds I’ve ever heard. Far too much compression and digital equalization for my tastes. However, earbuds aren’t really about true sound quality, they are a convenience piece. So find what best fits your ears nice and snug without any pain. Something with long battery life and music controls built into the them would be great.

Honestly I'm just as happy with my cheap $30 chineseum bluetooth ear buds as I was with the Raycons I bought. Can't stand the touch controls, I'd much rather have a physical button. Nothing quite like popping them out for a quick chat with someone and putting them back in to discover holding them in your hand turned the volume waaaaay up. Can't say I've ever used the microphone though.

soooooo, the 5 dollar pair was a good intro into the concept, but had some blatant shortcomings.  the $40 pair was way better, and helped me figure out what I liked/disliked.  but then I lost the side with the microphone.   so for a gift to myself, I got a pair of refurbished $190 Galaxy Buds3 (for like $60) to see what a really expensive pair was like.  and they are pretty dang awesome!  :D  I really like voice controls and having an app that lets me turn features on/off (for example, all the touch features are off).   but I would never pay 190 for them.  :sad2:

I can attest to the bone conductive route, I've been on the same bare of Aftershocks Air for going on 4 years now. The bone conductive is a great route if you are in a space where you are planning to wear earplugs. Seems most quality brands actually come with a pair of earplugs as well. Without the plugs they still work but it's less effective; battling other noises and also less effective to hear and feel the bass/tones of music.

I'm old school in this regard and am rocking the very high quality wired ear buds that came with the Creative MP3 player I purchased in 2008.  I specifically sought out a Sony Experia cellphone which still offers a 3.5mm port.

Awesome sound quality and never have to charge them.

I totally get why people want wireless earbuds, but haven't found a use for them myself.

I have a cheapo pair I bought at 5 below. I love them the case has a solar charger built in so i throw it on my dashboard at the end of my shift and they are always charged for the next day. Can't beat them for 5 bucks plus I won't feel bad if I loose them.

My sister bought me a pair of raycon impact earbuds when I graduated last year. I have a fairly active job and they haven't fallen out yet. The only thing I don't like is the magnetic lid attracts metal shavings sometimes, but that's not too surprising, just annoying.

Totally forgot to mention this it is super annoying I'm a welder on submarines and at the end of the day there is a little mountain of burrs on them. I find the best way to clean them is blast them with a compressed air blow gun.

went to see my nephew at the grade school talent show last night and figured it was a good opportunity to try out the active noise cancellation feature and wow what a difference!  what was previous thought of as no more than a neat "party trick" is now required to be on hand for the rest of my life. :D  it dimmed all the commotion and chaos around me and actually made it easier to hear the kids on stage.   I have a flight to michigan on monday and can't wait to try it out again in a loud public setting.

Noise cancellation is awesome in public places like airports or libraries. You can still here some stuff, but most of the just annoying noise is gone.
