Also in Georgia w/4.0. The absolute best thing I ever did was to replace the plastic recovery tank with an aluminum tank w/press cap. The stock pump works fine. Never had anymore over heating problems after I replaced that dumb plastic tank.

Where did you purchase the aluminum overflow tank?

I did look at my 'HESCO' water pump. It did look like the Flowcooler impellor.  Not what it should be. So, I stand corrected. I do use NAPA water pumps. Also, I use ZERX Z05 Coolant. Mainly, I have a Ford Contour and MB240D. That is the coolant recommended for them. Also, the instructions for it say you can mix it with a higher concentration for Higher temps. I do use the CFS all metal Radiator. I do not contend with the air temps others do though.

It's been awhile and I can't remember the name but it was a radiator manufacture/shop in OR I think...

Anyone have that Mopar part number for the pump? All I'm seeing is a pump for a 2001, not a Renix. Are these interchangeable?

Yes. I have a 2001 pump on my 89. Fits without issue.

Your very welcome.

The mac tank works very well with a 2.5 expansion bottle. If you use that you have converted to an open system.
