The platform is 64 1/2” long, going up close to the center console, I added filler pieces to the sides by the half doors to fill in the gaps and made brackets using 1/4” x 1 1/2” steel flat bar to support the front. Since my wife is short and has the seat far forward I made a filler piece behind the driver seat that folds up accommodating my seat position. I’ll add some 3” foam on top for the dogs’ comfort.
