Looks like it’s supported by the frame not the axle tube so I don’t think that’s the amount it gives. They sell these things at the parts store as lift kits.

True, it was supported by the frame.

 

So they sell this stuff commercially?

That is a special kind of special. I'm guessing they probably spentt more than a pair of lift springs would have cost.

Yes, but I've never heard of or seen them sold as lift kits. Both types of those inserts have been sold for years as cheap ways to "restore" sagging coil springs. I can remember seeing that &^$%* in the old J.C. Whitney catalog when I was still in high school.

Bet the shocks blown out, and instead of replacing it they just stuck that on to stop the bouncing

Yup its an steel bar with a bolt though frame and contol arm. Thia thing had a stock setup and sway bar. It notnlike it needed suspension limiting.You wouldnt belive the stuff we see. People up here love to fill their rotted out vehicles with great stuff expansion foam.

Lol he sold us the jeep ti part out. Wantee to be done witb it. The scary parts is it had a fairly recent teraflex lift put in it by someone. Which means they installed it knowing all well it had this issue.
