Strokermjcomanche Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 As some of you know I lost my Job near 6 month ago , I knew it was coming and had some money set aside for unemployment days while looking for another job . After many interviews disappointments and time almost running out , I think Ive landed a good job . I won't go into specifics yet , but this job has benefits , good hours , weekends off , room for advancement and pay , and family values . A good friend vouged for me and I go for an interview sometime next week . He more or less said the job is mine as long as both him and the other guy that does the hiring approve , which shouldn't be an issue . I'm trying not to get too excited but I'm definitely in a better frame of mind .

Strokermjcomanche Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 Went for the interview today . It was supposed to be yesterday but it went well . I have a second interview on Monday . I may not have any free time for a while if I get the job as they're working roughly 13 hour shifts 6 days a week , but it's a job . Thanks for the encouragement .

johnj92131 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Making it to the second interview is GOOD. Working 6 days and 70+ hours means no time to waste your money on toys! Not all bad, especially after being out of work for a good while.
Strokermjcomanche Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 I start my new job on Monday , they had a couple hiccups which prevented me from starting earlier . They had me fill out an old application which in turn I had to go back and fill out the new / updated one , and they also had an internal audit which prevented me from starting till it was completed . Thanks for all the good words and it looks like you'll be seeing less of me on this forum until I develop some kind of a daily routine lol. For anyone wondering where I'll be working , it's called Lafarge / Holcim based out of France . It's a construction landfill and I'll be doing various tasks like sorting debris ,operating small machinery like a bobcat , with the movement up to operating 60 ton dump trucks and other large equipment . I don't know every detail about the job as of yet but I'll find out on Monday . It has good pay after the initial 6 months and I'm happy to be going back to work as well . Thanks again !!
