Bmoore2
I really like the look of this truck....
Knucklehead97
That is actually very nice. After the concept idea for a new Cherokee, I was scared of what their new truck would look like. But I like that alot. It's kinda a mix of a Comanche and J10 if you look look at it correctly. If that or the 2005 "Gladiator" concept (the actual Wrangler pickup which had a decent sized bed and extended cab. Instead of these little half cab "pickup trucks") were to be put into production. I would be very happy
rmoore1031
Nice looking. Kinda like the new grand wagoneer concept.

onlyinajeep726
Yep, like neohic said, this is a photoshop. It was never a concept. However, this was.... And this... B)
GirsMJ86
It still really beefs me that the gladiator concept isn't out there on lots. So much better than the other concepts they've come out with imo. Everything about it is just...

ComancheKid45
I Prefer the Jeep J12 concept personally ;)
jimoshel
Having owned at least one of every model truck Jeep ever made, i kind of like the J10-20 series best. The FC 150-170 were quite practical but under powered. Except for the one I dropped a Buick 401 in. My 2 cents.
onlyinajeep726
I Prefer the Jeep J12 concept personally ;) Your picture doesn't work, but I Googled it... Didn't realize that such a concept existed, but I totally dig it. I thought it was an old, old concept. Then I saw some interior shots and quickly discovered otherwise. It's nice, in that it looks old school on the outside but has a modern inside.
GirsMJ86
The aev brute double cab is sharp and I'd jump on one if I had the funds. Probably the closest thing we'll see to a jeep truck on the road since Chrysler seems to be too chicken to take a risk on too much of a good thing. This is a JK I wouldn't mind owning :) Chrysler did follow AEV's lead with the TJ Unlimited. AEV had been selling a TJ stretch kit for a few years before Chrysler actually built one. terrawombat
And this... B) When Jeep kept hinting that they were going to enter back into the small pickup market, everyone assumed that this concept was going to be it. It's basically just different sheet metal on a JK frame (it may be slightly stretched, I'm not too sure). However, when they introduced their JK8 Independence sheet metal package, that pretty much squashed all hope of the above concept ever coming to fruition. Oh well. I got to see this thing at multiple car shows and eventually convinced one of the Chryco reps to let me sit in it. Definitely a neat rig and something I'd consider buying. onlyinajeep726
And now that Fiat has market share with Chrysler, we'll probably never see another Jeep truck, ever. They've already ruined Cherokee's good name. :fs1:

They've already ruined Cherokee's good name. :fs1: Couldn't say it better myself. To anyone that wants a new Jeep truck: Think of how Fiat restructured Chrysler. Dodge doesn't make trucks, "Ram" is a truck company now... Chrysler is for luxury, Jeep is for SUVs, Dodge is for sporty and youth.

battleborn
It was all downhill once they stopped producing the 4.0L and then to throw salt into the wound made all Jeep lines into yuppie assault vehicles with absolutely no character.
terrawombat
It was all downhill once they stopped producing the 4.0L and then to throw salt into the wound made all Jeep lines into yuppie assault vehicles with absolutely no character. The 4.0L was an outdated engine that couldn't meet federal emission limits. They didn't exactly have a whole lot of options. The engine had a great run, but it couldn't stick around forever. Chryco is just playing to the market demand. People that use their vehicles to wheel are in the minority and make up an insignificant portion of the buyers market. We're talking about a company that has needed the federal government to bail them out a few times - they need to cater to the majority market share...and make money. Yuppie SUVs and hybrids (or a combination of the two) are what sells.

terrawombat
I absolutely don't like it...but I get it...and I don't blame them for it. One of the hardest things for a business to do is to adapt to the changing landscape. Chryco kept pumping out the same Jeep vehicles (with some minor facelifts through the years) since they bought the brand in 1987. It was all sunshine and rainbows during that time, but the market shifted and Jeep didn't adapt. Now they're trying to play catch-up and pumping out tacky toy SUVs for suburban mommies to take their kids to dance lessons. They sell. They'll make money. Until they can get their head above water where they're profitable again, we can wave bye-bye to the capable off-roading Jeeps of old. The concepts they take to the shows are nothing more than eye candy and a reminder of what they used to be.
