Kind of different.. I love the vhs player.

Also on my way home from Vail yesterday I saw a car transporter with two of the Jeep tugs. Don't remember what they are called. Front end kind of looks like a wrangler and has duals on the rear. There was an old 60s Chevy truck and a couple newer suvs on it. What an odd combo of vehicles.

Ive seen 1 or 2 of these pop up online. Id yank the rear seat and turn it into a "conversion van" type XJ. Mild lift and such and have an awesome overnighter!

Also I believe the Tugs were considered CJ-6's, but don't hold me to that ;)

A couple years ago I saw a 4dr XJ with another XJ top on top of it. Looked like they had cut the top off at the bottom of the window posts, even with the body line and attached it to the top of another XJ. Kept the XJ windshield. Looked weird as h*ll but it was batting on down the highway OK. Had Oklahoma plates. And curtains over the windows.

There's an XJ conversion like that in NE Ohio too, but it's white. Owner even took it off road at Southington Offroad Park

Thats crazy looking. Gotta take the backseat out and make it a mini RV for long trips. Whats a VHS player?? :rotf: actually still have one at the house and watch old tapes occasionally.

but i believe those were only australian?? not sure

The CJ10 was export only. The CJ10-A was for aircraft tug use. Came with a Dana 70U in the rear with a 2,000 lb weight welded to the frame. I have never seen one set up as a dually though. Those tugs wer built in the Mexico factory and used a Cherokee frame shortened. Engine was a Nissan SD-33 turbo or N/A. Chrysler 727 Auto tranny with a transfer case locked in low. You can purchase a sector shaft and make them shiftable. IIRC it was an NP208. Also, I think they only were made for around 4 years.

Neat find. I have never seen one before!

Off topic, but I suspect the snow was great in Vail? Is that true? I lived in Vail/worked in Avon for a year. Absolutely loved it!

The mountains just got 1-2 feet during a 3 day storm. Vail and Steamboat got the most out of the central/northern mountains. Prior to this last storm it has been really crappy with only a few 3-4 inch snows. The mountains should normally get the 1-2 feet snows overnight several times a month. It's just not snowing enough this year. But yes I had a great day on Wed. It was very cold and windy but the snow was deep. Hope the snow keeps coming.

I saw a dark blue metallic Limited one of the high toppers several years ago. it was totalled on the inside, the interior was ripped to shreds, couldn't even get an idea of what they looked like when they were together.
