HOrnbrod
Everything is either canceled, postponed, closed, or abolished. Was out riding around in the JK and was all alone. Image Not Found
gogmorgo
What is that, like, two inches?
DirtyComanche
But that's 2" of "The sky is falling and we're all going to die". Which is much different than 2" of snow, which is what would typically be seen in the more northern States.
jimoshel
Gotta remember the locale. 2 inches in Alabama= 2 feet in Colorado, Montana, etc, etc.
gogmorgo
Yeah, I know... I get a little perplexed sometimes. It'd be nice if things shut down here because of snow... eight inches overnight and the next morning it's still business as usual. And most residential streets around here don't always get plowed... I've carved chunks out of the snowpack with my pumpkin a couple times falling into ruts...
HOrnbrod
Gotta remember the locale. 2 inches in Alabama= 2 feet in Colorado, Montana, etc, etc. Got that right. No snow tires, no plows, no salt (that's good though), and drivers have no clue how to drive on it. The only snow removal system is the sun. Geonovast
Why the %^*& do you have more snow than me?
Butchershop
That stuff's headed our way - but we'll probably only get a layer of "black ice" overnight. Morning commute in the ATL will be quite the mess. Only thing worse than ATL drivers in bad weather is......uhhhhhh.....hmmmm.....ok, I'm stumped...... . :MJ 1: .

Sir Sam
Gotta remember the locale. 2 inches in Alabama= 2 feet in Colorado, Montana, etc, etc. I still don't see the big deal about 2 feet of snow in colorado. I drive a Jeep after all.

gogmorgo
Two feet's a little much for my mj. Maybe when it's still fresh, but after it's sat for a few weeks and the sun fused the top of into a crust that supports your underpan and leaves your wheels dangling in the powder underneath? yeah, about that... 86customanche
thats more snow than here in central va. Yesterday they were saying as much as 8 locally and there is nothing but wet ground outside right now. But I do know that down in the New River Valley (Virginia Tech area) they have about 7 now and expected to get a couple more before its over. Keyav8r
We had the same amount in the Birmingham area. Changed over from rain to snow around 11:30 and by 1:30 the grassy areas were covered by 1-1/2" - 2". Headed home about 2:30 and, of course, there were idiots trying to run 70 MPH on the Interstates. God business for the towing companies!

Today the weather said it was 45*, but workin in the steel yard outside the shop it felt more like low 60s to me

86customanche
Well, the storm is gone, and the predictions of 5-8 were a little off. My car had a thin layer of ice on it, but the road was as clear as can be, even with it being in the 20s. Gotta love a job where you can be wrong all the time and still be employed. Why didnt I become a meterologist?

HOrnbrod
Here I am complaining about a little snow in 'Bama and look at what my son has growing off his roof. He lives in Salt Lake. Said he's going to take a chainsaw to it tomorrow. Image Not Found
