JeepcoMJ
nope. because the smart thing to do would be to tax the heck out of sales of it. I've never done it.

86customanche
apparently the city of Denver has had it legal for a few years and now the whole state as joined in. Its been some time coming for something like this to pass. They ought to make it federally legal and tax it and make a f*** ton of money off of it. Comanche County
Never done it myself. I don't hate it or the people who do it, but its really annoying to talk to someone that does it all the time. You can tell who they are, the slurred speech, slow drawl, droopy eyes, massive dilated pupils and a Bill and Ted blank stare, its pathetic. I'm still not buying the medical necessity. Alcohol is the worst drug for the nation right now, but I'd bet if the country keeps going this direction, it'll become legal in more states. In 10 years we'll all be drunk, stoned or both. Me, I'll just remain a legal and happy drinker.
AMCJeepMJ
Measure 80 was shot down in Oregon which would have legalized it beyond medical use. Only two counties had over 50% yes votes... Multnomah County [Portland], and Lincoln County [Newport].
SW86
i think we need to just go on and make it legal to a degree. it would free up all that wasted time and bs from cops, goverment, whoever and let them go after the real drug problems. meth, coke, crack, PILLS. instead they waste time and money cracking down on marijuana. at least its @#$%ing natural and not man made with terrible side effects. plus the taxes we'd bring in would be unreal. another state passed the medical marijuana last night (Mass i think). yes its a stepping stone but it needs to be done IMO. gogmorgo
I've never had anything really to do with weed. My first experience with it was at a party and there were some people who lit up. I didn't partake, but just being in the same room, I started to get all hay fevery, and got a migraine that stuck around for the next day. Figured it was best to avoid it after that. Beyond that I don't really have an opinion about it. May as well legalize, regulate and tax.
HOrnbrod
There are proven medicinal benefits of weed as evidenced throughout history, but these benefits have been overshadowed by the losers who use this as an excuse only to get stoned. In one country I was in for quite some time I've seen it used to help overcome the loss of appetite of cancer patients suffer while undergoing chemotherapy. This wasn't some dime bag of street crap; it was legally prescribed to the patient by their physician. And a lot of these physicians were formally trained in the US, graduated, then went back home to practice. In quite a few instances I've seen it help and enable patients to remain strong throughout the chemo treatments and survive for many more productive years. One of those patients was a member of my wife's family. If legalized weed is used for medical applications like this, I'm all for it.
Comanche County
When I was a kid in Alaska, my football coach was dying of Leukemia. I was 11 at the time, anyway we went to see him in the hospital and the docs had him on it daily. But he ended up passing in a few weeks.

SW86
it really depends on the person and how much they do it. over time if you smoke often you won't act like an idiot like when you first do it. of course (back in the day) when i smoked, it really just chilled me out. i never acted stupid like some people i know. i hated to drink and didnt take pills, so it was my way of relaxing at the end of the day. however, the real world drug tests, so i had to cut it out. i now drink more :shake: still not really a fan though. its just too easy to go from, "hey I'm feeling alright" to "@#$%, here comes the floor" :rotfl2:

I still maintain alcohol is the "hardest" drug I have ever done. And its also not the only one.
