red_eyed_rider Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Caught an ad on craigslist for it at $550 and drove it home for $400. 4.0L 5 speed everything works killer. Wobbles from the front after 40 mph. Thinking tires or bearings. Any Ideas?. Pics as soon as it gets light!
BIGHEEP Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Sounds kind of like the deal I got on my MJ. 88 4.0L 5 spd. 4x4 long bed, paid $400. Could have drove it home but it had been sitting for a while and I didn't trust it for the 30 mile highway trip home.

Drove 150 miles, bought it and drove it home. Its not the first time I have done things like that. I have had to call for a tow 60 miles from home before. I forgot to add congrats on the MJ. Welcome to the asylum.

It was a lot of money for me at that point, but averaging it out over the 16 years and 140k miles, it's been a real bargain. If all goes well, I'll have it another 10 years or more, I still love driving it.

Most owners were HAPPY to see it go. :D Of course, everyone I bought one from was owner #2, 3, 4, maybe #5 or more. :D
