  2. Sold my MJ today for $550. Kind of sad to see it drive out the yard but I think I did good. I bought it in 2002 for $600 with 69k on it. Put 50K on it since then. It moved me from California to Texas. I got paid $950 for it from an insurance company when some A hole a tried to pass me when I was making a left turn and wiped out the side of the bed. No salvage title. Looks like I made $900 profit along with 6 good years. Guess I'm not that sad after all.
  3. Sounds like a done deal Now I'll just have to plan a trip down there soon
  4. About 4 hours from you in a little town called Leonard North of Dallas
  5. Damn I just moved from so cal to texas 3 years ago
  6. They ended up paying me $938.94 for the damage on my MJ. I keep the truck with no salvage title. Not bad considering I paid $600 for the truck 5 years ago. They told me the value of the truck before it was wrecked was $1975. Now it's time to get the big hammer out till i find a bed for it.
  7. So far they offered to pay 50% of the 2500 dollars damage on the truck. Cause the guys story didn't match with mine and they tried to say there was previous damage to the bed. I told them no. So they are investigating it a little further. I should be hearing from them today. All I want is a straight rust free body like I used to have.
  8. Thats cool I'm not in a big hurry.
  9. Well they totaled it. Now I have to wait for the investigation to see if they are going to pay. I am going to buy it back. Just hope I can avoid the salvaged title
  10. Theres more work there than a plunger will handle. I talked with the insurance company today. If they total it they said the go by NADA value on the truck which is Low Retail $2,075 Average Retail $5,400 High Retail $6,925 less 15% for the 4 Cylinder Engine Low Retail $1,764 Average Retail $4,590* High Retail $5,886 I'll take 1700 for my truck and go get me a 4x4 MJ
  11. See regardless of the way I was turning he was in the wrong. According to Texas law On a two lane road with a double yellow stripe you are not allowed to pass a car that is turning or stopped for any reason. He should of stopped behind me and waited till i completed my turn
  12. Is it a long bed It just might be worth the trip? let me see some pics
  13. I was on a two lane road turning left. Hit the right signal by mistake then hit the left one. So the guy behind me tries to pass me on the left cause he thought I was turning right. Well anyways he caught the bottom corner of the cab and wiped out the whole side of the bed. The cop that finally showed up said it was his fault cause there is a double yellow line that means no passing. But he couldn't write a report cause the guy had all ready left. I did file a claim with his insurance company last night. State Farm. Guess we will see how it goes. I hope they don't want to total my truck. Hey it needed a paint job but the body is rust free and was straight with only 115k on the clock.
  14. well the regulator is toast. I ended up unbolting the glass from the mount and stuck a piece of wood inside the door to hold the window in the up position for now till i get the new regulator. Kind of ghetto but and least i won't freeze on the way to work now.
