yeah so i just read this and i know I'm late but if your still making these count me in!

I don't think anyone's heard back from the OP yet (I haven't anyway),

hopefully he's still going to move forward with it.

So, add your name to the list with the rest of us rtft.gif

and with any luck it will work out.

I'd give Brian a break on this one,

even though there are a handful of guys here excited about the project (me included), it doesn't seem like he's counting on it being a big money maker for the company.

Small side projects tend to get bumped down the priority list,

maybe for something with greater earning potential, or he's busy building other stuff for inventory,

or they may have had to cut hours for the guys, and there's less time for side projects. :dunno:

Either way, hopefully Brian will post up soon, and say if they're still considering it, and if they made any progress.

Hopefully once he makes them, they'll fly off the shelves.

With no one producing MJ tailights,

they might be more popular than he thinks they will. rtft.gif

what if i can make some out of thick plastic...looking the same way as the metal ones?

my buddy works in a crazy plastic shop that can make anything

Have him make taillights.

I was just kidding with the 'make taillights' comment,

but if he does work in plastics, I wonder if he could:

1)use a set of good taillights to make a mold

2)use the mold to make the red plastic outer lens part

3)sell the new lens part as a 'do it yourself MJ taillight repair kit'.

you separate the outer part from the inner of your broken taillight, and fasten the new part to the inner plastic piece. :dunno:

I've never tried to separate the two parts of out taillights, so I am completely speaking out of my ***,

but I think having a plastics guy fab the complete taillight would be a pretty tall order.

Probably should start another thread on this tho. :smart: :typing:

I get the feeling that they are swamped with orders right now. I ordered some sliders from them about 2 1/2 wees ago and they said today it won't be until next week when they build them. This may take awhile if it happens.

The Poison Spider CJ-8 Crusher Corners look close in dimension to a SB MJ:

prodpic-12-04-020-A.jpg

Tho they'd be pricey if you had to buy them, just to see ($350)

http://poisonspyder.com/prod-crushercorners.php

The 'Standard' version (pictured) has TJ wheel openings, and Zack at ZM Jeeps has said the MJ rear bed corner 'wrap-around' angle is pretty close to the CJ rear tub angle (said he uses CJ corners to patch the rear of MJ beds).

If the wheel openings/positions didn't work, they also offer 'Modified' CJ-8 Crusher Corners for $80 more:

MODIFIED Crusher Corners™ allow you to customize the Crusher Corner with any combination of standard or optional features. There is an additional charge for Modified Crusher Corners, as they are all custom-fabricated to your specifications. You may choose from any of the following options: Blank (no holes), CJ-style wheel opening, YJ-style wheel opening, TJ-style fuel filler opening (on CJ/YJ Corners), CJ tire carrier mount holes, factory taillight mount holes, LED taillight mount holes, factory license plate mount holes. Also available soon will be a variety of custom taillight cut-outs. ANY variation from the pre-configured Stock, Standard or Comp Cut versions is automatically considered a Modified version for ordering and pricing purposes. Modified Crusher Corners™ are "Call to Order" so we can help you work through all the options. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of Modified Crusher Corners™.

Again, pricey, but PSC does pretty nice stuff. jamminz.gif
