  3. Whats everyone think about PVC pipe? It has a variety of joints in 22, 45, 60 and 90 degree bends, t joints, cross joints. Maybe a solid core PVC tube, maybe 1" or 1.5"? Would that be strong enough for this?

  5. jerry cans, water cans, something cans. I got 4 jerrys, 3 water, and 1 kerosene can. i used them as an idea of how I want the cans stored on the side.

  7. I have an aluminum topper, and was hoping to be able to swap it out, unless i can make the canvas top. the mounts for the tires, and cans would be removable to allow the canvas. but either way. I might have to take a trip to lowes then. :)

  9. has anyone ever made anything like this? I want to be able to mount my spares and jerry cans on the side of it, and leave the cargo area open incase I need to run to lowes or something on the way home from wheeling. versatility I say! Any recommendations on material to use to keep cost down, being that it is only holding a spare tire or two, some jerry cans, maybe trail tools like an ax or shovel. don't know if I want it for structural yet. I'd like to be able to still take it off and put a topper on, or make a canvas topper for it.
  10. try the fuel pump or fuel filter. thats where mine was a few months ago.
  11. what could cause a stumbling/hesitating in high rpm WITH black smoke and backfires. I am thinking rich mix, and that being vacuum related, but where to go from there? which vacuum line might be the culprit? Or is it something more evil, like the fuel pressure regulator?

  13. I need cables from the pedel to the splitter, the splitter itself, and then cables to the rear drums. I am a volunteer firefighter and frequently go to scene directly, and want to be able to park my truck and leave the lights running.

  17. ha, my XJ must have broke this cable because I would take the key out with the thing running, lock it, then go do a quick business spot, come back and unlock, drive away. I could even turn it off without a key.
  18. iirc there is some sensor or lock in an auto wheel that is for the transmission

My repair: 40 amp switch mounted in the lower dash with heads, parks, and dash wired direct to the 10AWG supply. can't adjust the brightness in the dash... and i think my interior lights are messed up because of it... but works. Anyone have any ideas on a aftermarket or mod to fix this, say in the clock side trim?

  23. Whats entailed with switching a Ba-10/5 to a AW4? I am looking for a little more freedom while driving to my fire calls with my hands (for siren and such). Obviously spline counts on the input shaft and transfer case, but what about ECMs? Steering column locks?
  24. $10k? You'd make that quick in a decent winter with that hog snow blower on it.
