89 MJ Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 When welding in patch panels, round all of the corners. This will help spread the heat out and prevent warping at the corners.
Pete M Posted February 4, 2025 Author Posted February 4, 2025 fun fact: if you get ahead of yourself with a fuel tank install and fire up the engine on a 2wd auto without the rear shaft installed, trans fluid will piddle out the back.

Pete M Posted April 5, 2025 Author Posted April 5, 2025 if you're looking at any sort of fuel tank repairs, do it ALL. pump, sender, tank, hoses, straps, bolts, all of it. it really isn't that much money and you'll only need to drop the tank once. (hopefully)

Ωhm Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 When looking for TDC#1 (compression↑/↓power) remove spark plug #4. Listen for huffing, then puffing sounds while spinning the crank. Next time timing notch approaches 0° (TDC) you’re on the mark. I6 only.

jodawill Posted Wednesday at 05:32 AM Posted Wednesday at 05:32 AM If you buy a remanufactured power steering gearbox that isn't painted, paint it yourself before you install it. It WILL rust!
Chico Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago MOST important thing.... "If you've decided to own a Jeep Comanche and haven't already done so, make sure you sign up @ Comancheclub.com." I've been skimming over 100's of everyone's posts I've missed in the last two decades, and the amount of information you all have recorded over time is simply amazing. I'm serious. You all are awesome! Last Friday I got forced to show up at a work meeting and stand up in front of the 100 people/ elementary class type situation. I was then grilled on "what should we do next? " type questions. I brought this forum and all you guys up and explained to them that, if they all could even do half the job with their crap that you guys do here, 97% of all their problems would be resolved. They I said some other stuff. So then the President got up and I handed the microphone back to him. He thanked me for my time and frank assessment of things. He also told me I didn't have to come back to a monthly meeting for another two years again. Worked out all around.
