CWLONGSHOT
What would make me believe the nut won't round over like the bolt head did? And I'm not wasting a good socket. I'll be putting a junk socket to good use :brows: Welding a nut is a actually a very good idea. The heat you will apply to that bolt welding it will very likely be enough to facilitate its removel anyhow... FOR cheaper then the price of a socket!! If your worried, just use a grade 8 nut!! Blue XJ
LOOKS GREAT!! What is the tubing and what are you bending it with?? FESS UP!! :rotf: :rotf:   :D CW Its 1.5" .120 wall DOM for the exterior portion of the cage, the interior cage is 1.5" .120 wall HREW. I picked up a JD2 Model 3 bender a few months ago to use for this. This is my first project with it. I thought about converting to air over hydro, but its really not that bad to bend it by hand. jimoshel
My GF won't ride in my J20 because it's old, dirty an smelly. I did not crack one smile when I used it to pull her '08 Ramcharger 4WD out of the snow drift she buried it in. So it's not a MJ but I had to tell somebody. JeepcoMJ
after putting a fence up around a ridiculously large area (1 acre) for two little 10lb wiener dogs to play in (btw, I didn't put this fence up by choice), I... tightened down the control arms in the front of my brother's jeep, mounted the steering assemblies, installed the axleshafts, wheel bearings, front discs, calipers, pads, track bar, disconnect....then removed the diff cover, cleaned it, cleaned out the inside, bolted on the cover, filled it, and moved on. then ran the wires for the new plow for it, installed a new solenoid, tested it to make sure it works, scratched my head on where to mount the control switches, said screw it, and moved on. then installed all four air shocks and routed the lines for them. then scratched my head on the headlight wiring for the plow and got it figured out..mostly. then got pissed off at a friend who borrowed my lifted comanche to move some stuff to his new house...he went for a joy ride on the way home apparently, end result is I needed a new 02 sensor and he tore my exhaust off from the cat back. of course, the retard has no money and didn't think it was a big deal since (as he stated) " have enough parts to fix it"...which I don't. so I halfa$$ed it back together, put in a used 02 sensor from a 4.0 I'm building or a friend, straightened out the borla header and down pipe as best as I could, and called it a day. JeepcoMJ
Thats why NO ONE borrows my vehicle unless I trust them implicitly... like my dad or my wife... thats it. yeah. didn't figure that someone I've known since I was 5 (I'm 23 now) would do that though.... oh well. I found a used 02 sensor for it, got the borla straightened out, put the downpipe back on, and got the cat and muffler back on...cut the tailpipe off @ hangar behind the muffler as it was rattling around. I need to put my flowmaster 40 in anyways, and turn it up to get rid of the bends in the tail pipe.

bermsurfer230
Fixed the coolant bottle, and burped the coolant system! Decided this weather sucks with a blocked heater core. Our highest temp all week was 33*F, and I'm a summer kinda guy  Let's see what else... Rotated tires, pulled out the snow chains and cleaned those up. Just made sure they were all good for this year... Remembered my 4X4 conversion never happened last summer, so maybe next summer. Anybody have extra AX15's, transfer cases, and front axles...? Oh, then I washed him and then me :D
