  1. I guess what I am getting at is why would you buy a unicorn or a collectable to be a driver when for the money we are talking you could get into something much more practical. But what can I say. I'm not the most practical either
  2. As much as I love a clean xj... 15-17k can buy a lot more vehicle than what is presented. If you plan to dd this will it still be a "mint, low mile" jeep in 5 years?
  3. You need to know what the thickness of the slab is and what the lift requires. Instal can be diy. You will need a decent drill to place the anchors in the slab. Everything else is nut and bolt assembly. Although heavy components. You will also need electric at the lift.
  4. Spill the beans already! What are the plans!
  5. Thanks Pete! Never thought about it but cc was relatively new when I joined way back when.
  6. No flames here! It's a valid question. Yes I am checking at the sensor
  7. Before I start throwing more ignition parts at it I want to at least confirm cause cps output
  8. Ohm. I will do that and report back. Eagle. Yes. I have the multi meter in the cps plug and on the hood while I crank. I have tried back probing and directly to the pins in the plug
  9. Swapped cps. No spark. No voltage at plug. Going to try a different meter to rule that out. But this is getting old
  10. After re reading my thread I realized the timeline and context of everything was confusing. At one point I did have good spark at the plug. But now I do not. I picked up a basic spark tester and fuel pressure gauge. Fuel pressure is good. No spark. That brings me back to the cps. The two o thought I ordered I never actually ordered. So those are on the way now.
  11. If you are looking for a square body truck I wouldn't limit yourself to the TBI years. There are multiple companies that make a TBI fuel injection that will drop in place of a carb.
  12. Ratrapp... You are 100% correct. And I already knew this I'm my head. The truck "ran when parked" was kind of my thought process going into this. But there has been a lot of time between now and then. I'm going to stop at hf after work and pick up the appropriate tools and start at square one. Thanks everyone for the help so far
  13. Sorry. There is context missing. The truck will no longer fire off on starting fluid. Fuel flow is there. After I replaced the tank and pump I blew the o rings out in the rail. I tested both cps with no voltage reading while cranking
  14. Retested cps and no voltage. Tried 2 sensors. Nothing. Ordered 2 more different brand spc from rock auto. I'm getting good at swapping cps unfortunately
  15. I resemble that statement
  16. 4.0 5 SPD. 307 gears. Just put new 33x13.5 super swampers on. Was showing off (in highschool) attempted to neutral drop. Dumped the clutch. Truck never moved. Loud bang followed by a stripping noise. Peeled all the teeth off the ring gear.
  17. Looking at cruisers tips. My map sensor hose is shot. Ie not connected from throttle body to sensor... Would this cause a no start?
  18. I went ahead and put some injectors on.... No luck. I'll pick up the proper tools and start to actually verify what's happening. Instead of throwing parts at the problem
  19. I had the rail apart and contemplated replacing the injectors. I put seals on instead... So I fully expect I'll end up having to replace injectors Thanks guys. I'll report back
  20. There is pressure at the rail. If I hit the valve it shoots fuel out. Any way to test the injectors before I buy new ones?
  21. Had a few mins and got a charger for the battery. With starting fluid it will fire up and die
  22. I don't understand either. I am checking CPS as you describe and get nothing. Maybe I need to try a different meter. But if no CPS signal means no spark then I have a different issue. I'll try starting fluid and work from there
  23. Something I will definitely check. But I figured unlikely since it hasn't been touched and the truck was running.
  24. New tank. So fresh gas
