Sounds good. I personally put new Pioneers (On sale for $15/pair!) in the doors, and two 6" bazooka tubes hooked up to a 500W 2ch amp. One tube behind each seat on the floor, cones facing the walls. Only takes up about 10" of height, plenty of room for other stuff on top of the subs. Sound WAAAAAY better than the 22 year old speakers that rattled, and the 6" subs have great response, with enough power for phatty bass lines :chillin: Just my $0.02, another idea for everybody. Paid under $100 for everything, and took a few hours to install.

When your left front signal wasn't working before, did you notice any bumps or jars in the road? That would tell me to check for bad grounds or shorts. How long has this been a slight problem, and how recently did the lights stop working? Any recent projects with wiring/lights? I once cleaned a bulb housing and a light didn't work. Bad connection in the socket

Welllllll... You probably know about checking the grounds front and rear for ANY lighting problem. Check those first. Then make sure ALL light bulbs are working, and that you have the correct bulbs for the application. I recently found that I replaced a rear turn signal bulb with one that didn't flash, so lots of fun there. :rotf: Check under the dash for any loose wores, particularly ones that would go to dimmer switch, or multifunction turn signal. After that, it might be something major :???: But I hope not!

Had the same problem... Lever broke on the way home at 1am... After it was welded up again my clutch has been great ever since! Seems that Jeep didn't have a copasetic welder at the helm when these were made... Glad your problem is solved! :clapping:

Sick tips... I just had to cut off the last 16 inches or so of my 6 MONTH OLD CAT BACK PIPING because a co worker backed it onto a rock, crunched the pipe about 6 inches from the tip :fs1: But I had been debating about running the exhaust out the back XJ style with a turndown, so I cut the pipe off right in front of the 90* bend so it's a straight shot. Seeing the duals though... That might be an option! Did you use XJ tips? And how'd you route the piping? Awesome truck, too! Been reading all 35 pages last night and tonight, and your MJ has seen quite a transformation! Keep it going, your ingenuity is outstanding! And motivationg me to get out in my driveway and show my truck some love :chillin:

Where/how did you get that made? Would be cool to get/make something similar for my seat rebuilds i need to do... Keep us posted on any updates about you or the MJ!

Me too! I've been fiddling around with the welder... Dad and friends are teaching me. Man great truck! I love the headliner! Mine is falling down (again...) so that's on the soon to fix list. I had considered doing the 3D JEEP logo up top, but decided to keep it simple and faster and get it back in the truck cuz it was loud. I am also looking at the RRO 5 inch lift, was seeing how you like the ride. How do the shocks work with the springs? Anything you don't like? What DO you like? I also love the Dakota seats! It seems there is plenty of room for the midsize truck's seat arrangement. keep us updated on how the MJ, and you are doing! I will hopefully get my "build" thread up soon to share Good job again, really like the truck

Whoah... Just read through your project. Now I'm back to debating between dark blue or black... I'm diggin those black rims with white lettering too. They work well with the all black! Great build man! Seeing all of these projects gets me pumped to start my build up! So many great ideas and thoughts, that aslo help me change/modify my own plans and thoughts. Clicked over 201,000 miles last weekend! Woo Hoo! But today I cleaned my MJ out, vacuumed, replacing the weatherstripping around the door now, and then washing it! It'll look brand new! (Except for the peeling clearcoat...) :D

Just an update. New heater core is in. Old one was flushed and worked ok for the time being. New one is waaaaaay warmer. Woo hoo! People should not be afrais of changing out the heater core like I was. took about 2 hours, but I did a bang-up job cleaning stuff up while I was under there :thumbsup:

Is the cold air only noticable when the truck is moving forward, or all the time? I would check and make sure that your passenger door is still aligned, and closes properly. Make sure to check the hinge, they tend to start seperating and throw the alignment off. Also, check the door seals. They lose their pliability and squishiness/resiliance after 20 years... At least mine did so now a door leaks :fs1: Might as well check both doors he he... If the door is aligned, not drooping, and is sealed, then I would check out the vents. After that, I have no idea. :dunno: That's as far as I had to go with mine, thankfully!

Agreed. It's only a matter of time (as pessimistic as that sounds) before it won't be a matter of unplugging and plugging back in. So I'd get a new one now. Or two. I replaced mine last year due to intermittent non-starting issues, and I also have a spare in the glove box. Just to be safe and not miss work again :headpop:
