Listed it on eBay :(. Well, a few days ago

It's a sad day when you have to part with something that you've put so much time in. It's definitely one of the nicest ones we've got on here. Hopefully the new owner treats her as well as you have. Oh I didn't see if you mentioned your one of instrument cluster on the ad.

Didn't do anything TO it, but went too the Cleveland West Pull-a-Part and got a high pinion king pin D60 for it.

$242.44 total including tax, entry into the yard, environmental fees and core charge.

If I hadn't scrapped ALL my old D30 housings I could have got $32.15 back.

saturday started out with a simple (ya I know) front end lift to level the 89 ---

first found this on both front disks

then when we got the coils out and put in the v8 zj coils --- there was no change in height --- so next they were pulled back out -- the old coils were 17", the ZJ 17 3/4" so it was grab the RE 4.5 lift coils in the parts bin ---- 22 3/4" tall

seven hours later the truck is level with about 4" of total lift --- forgot to snap pic will edit later ---

went from 25.25" in front to 29.25" inches --- ending up with ruff county HD upper and lower arms, ranch Rs9000 shocks and the RE coils --- still debating about adding the one ton steering :D

major thank you to gogetemturbo for the work and parts hook ups

:wrench:

Glad I could help!

I seriously miss my MJ(s).

Buttoned up the Headlight conversion. I received the second IPF housing unexpectedly, so I got it installed put all the trim back on and reaimed the lights the best I could with out level ground.

Night and day difference going from Sylvania sealed bulbs with stock harness to 12ga. harness with IPF housing and 100/90w ebay bulbs.

If the hella and ipf fatty bulbs are better then my cheapy ebay bulbs I think I may need sunglasses at night, so I'll ride out the cheapies before I invest in better bulbs.

Last night I replaced the radiator twice, put my dash back together after finally installing the aux fan controller I built almost three years ago, reinstalled the CB radio, running the wiring straight to the battery instead of jury rigged into the fuse panel and checked everything quickly before heading home.

About a mile later it died on me with a fuel pump problem. At the time I thought I just ran out of gas, so I had a buddy bring me some. It still cranked fine after that. 30 minutes later after trying a few more things the starter decided crap out on me too.

Ended up being brought back to my shop by a tow truck.

Drove it over to my friend's house to celebrate his 20th birthday with him and another buddy. Then we went out for breakfast, and then gave his car a wash.

So much for being the birthday boy. I thought you were supposed to make everyone do everything else for you? :shake: Not so, apparently. I guess it'll be worth it when he gets it paid off in 2 years. ;)

No crank problem was a bad connection of the ignition switch wire at the starter relay. Picked as much mud out of the socket on the end of the wire as possible, then wirebrushed mud off the relay terminal until it was shiny. Stuck wire back on and she cranks again.

Clicking I heard was not in the tank, it was the fuel pump relay. Unplugged the pump assembly pigtail and hooked a test light up to find everything is fine at least up to the plug. Pulled assembly out of tank and found all wires inside tank just fine. Then I pulled the protective sheathing off the pigtail to find the top 4" of wires covered in duct tape. Cut the tape off and find three splices where the wires were just twisted together and taped up with a separate layer of duct tape

When I'm back in the shop (Monday?) I'll cut the wires back past the corrosion and butt splice them, followed by heat shrink tubing to seal it from the elements.
