southernwheeler86, looks killer man! Congrats!

Just picked up the AEV wheels after being mounted and balanced at the tire shop! In the process of doing a front brake overhaul. The MJ is happy :chillin:

So when do we get to see them on the truck?

Rymanrph...yours is the best MJ I have ever seen. Your coment about my truck considering what you drive, is truly inspiring....thanks.

I hope my upcoming body work and paint comes out half as nice.

Jpdriver1...The bed side rails are from 15 gauge strip steel. Fessler used a long brake to get the same angle of the bed rail of the truck and fabbed the corner wrap around on the back.

They bolt on through the bed rail with stainlees steel tamper proof torx flat heads.

They came off so nice he said he was going to make a set for his truck (sadly not a comanche) I told him that it might be something to add to his product line.

The tire carrier came off particuarly well also. If you like his work wait till you see the rear bumper....

He also did the front and rear bumpers on my son's cherokee, you can see a bit of it in the pics of my truck. One thing I particuarly like about the rear bumper on the cherokee is that the 3/16 plate stock that makes up the rear wrap around on the ends of the bumper match the body side and axtend all the way up to the back of the fender flare. It is hard to see on Nathan's cherokee as it is all black (paint on the truck and the bed liner on the bumper). It really supports an protects those rear corners. His sticks out further that the one we are working on for the comanche as he wanted a step to get snowboards off the top.

Check out fesslers web site at www.fessybuilt.com

Great guy to work with that seems to get as jazzed about the projects as I am....he is typically pretty booked....but worth the wait.

Finally took some pics of the MJ with the AEV wheels. When the Jeep is in the shade it looks like its in stealth mode, I love it!

Swapping a new front axle under Wilbur to go off road again next weekend (last trip two weeks ago the center shaft broke and chewed the crud out of the pinion gear as well as messing up the carrier.). Taking the Aussie out of the old axle I find two broken pins. Guess I'll be running spider gears in the front for the first time since 2008.

Got the new axle under the truck and while greasing all the fittings I find both ball joints on the passenger side are bad.

pulled the old (less than a year old 3 row) radiator since it crapped out. DO NOT buy from racewayparts a sister company off radiator express. also took out the water pump, thermostat and housing for the new ones going in. got rid of the pressure bottle as well and all hoses with it. so basicly doing the open system swap with all new cooling system parts. its been long over due.
