carguy489
hey guys! I'm new to comanches but not jeep in general. I bought my comanche 2 weeks ago for 500 bucks and drove it home. 1990 shortbed 4.0l auto 4wd red with 178k miles. Got tags for it and been driving it since. All it needed were new injectors which i had from my 1990 cherokee. here's some pics of when i got it and what it looks like now. This was the morning after i brought it home The 3 jeeps we have now After i shined her up This is how she currently looks

hermit
ok, as promised the carnage that was my daily driver last winter. (Snow got confused and fell on texas even though we don't know how to drive on it) My stering wheel after my face hit it, plus blood stains on the seat the front end minus the bumper and radiator I should ad by the way that the bumper and radiator didnt fall off, i took them off after I got home so i could see what was left. I was dragging the bumper though left fender its hard to see in the pic, but the floor pan crumpled in so far on the side wall by the gas pedal that i can't put my foot on the gas without also touching the brake

Fobroader
Hey guys, my name is Eugene, I don't have an MJ yet, but oh so badly want one. I'm in the process of selling my car so I can start on a offroad project. I had a 94 XJ with 32" BFG Mud Terrains, Winch, custom bumpers, rock rails, lockers and hardcore body damage :rotf: I sold it because I needed a truck.....and now I realize I need a Jeep again. A guy in my Jeep club, edmontonjeep.com, pointed me to this site. I love all the info on here and am getting more and more excited about this, I can't wait. I hope to get one soon and start contributing to the site...thanks guys. Oh I'm from Beaumont, Alberta...little south of Edmonton.

Here is my 91 Comanche (MJ) Eliminator. It's my work truck and my Search and Rescue K9 unit. 4.0 HO 5 speed I think D35 Possie rear and D30 front. When I bought it PO said it had a pro comp 6in lift but my XJ has a 4.5 lift and it's about the same hight. Running 33x12.5 pro comp mud terrains. It climbs like a billy goat and I'm so glad I sold my 94 Toy extended cab 4x4 to get it. This is more me:)

foreman1063
My new 88 Pioneer Big Ton. I've wanted an MJ for a long time. Finally found the one I wanted and the owner actually needed an ATV so we made an even swap for my 02 Honda Foreman. I look forward to hanging out here and talking Comanche. CaffeineTripp
Here's mine. An '86 with the 2.5. I've got plans for the truck, some extraordinary, though most not so much. All depends on how much spare money I've got laying around to actually complete the job. For the time being though, she'll be a daily driver through the winter and we'll see how she goes through the summer, after all, I'm a tuner at heart, not a rockcrawler. She's not pretty, and has her fair share of rust due to Minnesota and Wisconsin living (FO salt!) In any case, I've got her planned for a 5 speed swap, intake, intake heat shield, wideband O2 sensor and gauge, A'Pexi SAFC, larger injector (TB swap?), swap out the steelies for '88 Dakota Sport aluminum wheels (trashed the truck, now gotta find it again), port match the intake if it needs it, 2.5" header back exhaust into a generic high flow muffler/Dynomax, Brembo discs, EBC pads if available other wise ceramics will do, install a tach, water temp., oil pressure/temp., vacuum gauges, electric fan. All in all, not too much in the conservative build. Not really anything for horsepower whatsoever, more or less just bringing to the standards that I have for it. But, if I were to go a little nuts to the truck... Rebuild it from bottom up with 8.8:1-9.0:1 forged pistons, 264/272 cam, 3 angle valve job, 1MM oversized valves nitride coated, ACL bearings, MegaSquirt, bigger injector(s), throttle body, extrude honed intake manifold, RPFabrications exhaust manifold, 2.5" side dump exhaust with Dynomax muffler, Garrett T28 turbocharger, 2G DSM intercooler, custom intercooler piping, GReddy Type S BOV, manual boost controller, dropped 2", aluminum driveshaft, 235/60R16 Pirellis, ACT/Centerforce clutch, custom dampener...but that's all just some dreaming. MCF90
Here is my Comanche as it sits now: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found 1990 Comanche Eliminator, 4.0 with a Borla header, AX-15 5 speed, NP231, D30, 8.25 axles out of a '99 Cherokee (3.73 ratio), 31" BFG AT's on XJ wheels, WJ lower front control arms, XJ mirrors, U bolt skids, 3" lift. Also has a new headliner and rubber mat installed by the previous owner. I'm sure I'm forgeting some stuff. I cut all of the rust that was on the truck out (driver's side floor) and replaced it, POR'd it and undercoated it. Paint isn't in the best shape, but hey, its a 20 year old truck. I've owned it since April of this year and I love it! Oh yeah, almost forgot about the ComancheClub.com windshield banner! Matt
