Hiya everyone, Just picked up my '86MJ about a month ago and gladly found this site a couple days ago. Lots of great info here, look forward to chatting with ya'all.

Specs on my truck - originally 2.5 2wd LWB - previous owner converted in his shop to 4.0HO auto 231TC 3" lift in the front and..... not sure about the rear springs. Back end is lower than the front by about an inch, but that is being remedied as I type springs are being re arced and another leaf added in, oh yeah long arm shackles in the rear to. Will post up a couple pics later when I have access to them.

Wow, re arced, leaf added and lift shackles, I imagine you'll gain that inch plus some. Sounds like a nice truck, like to see some pics.

1990 Comanche Eliminator, 4.0 with a Borla header, AX-15 5 speed, NP241, D30, 8.25 axles out of a '99 Cherokee (3.73 ratio), 31" BFG AT's on XJ wheels, WJ lower front control arms, XJ mirrors, U bolt skids, 3" lift. Also has a new headliner and rubber mat installed by the previous owner. I'm sure I'm forgeting some stuff. I cut all of the rust that was on the truck out (driver's side floor) and replaced it, POR'd it and undercoated it. Paint isn't in the best shape, but hey, its a 20 year old truck. I've owned it since April of this year and I love it! Oh yeah, almost forgot about the ComancheClub.com windshield banner! jamminz.gif

Matt

You sure about that? Or a 231? The only Jeep with a 241 that might swap in is out of a TJ Wrangler Rubicon. Other 241s were in full size trucks like my 94 Suburban.

thanks Shawn, and you are right, that's my buddies 81 eagle sx4, it's pretty nice but I don't know what he's doing with it, it runs ruff and I think he gave up on it. if I had room I'd take it in a heart beat.

The name is Caleb, I live in Cheshire, CT. I have a fairly built XJ, 35s, 30/44, locked f/r, geared all that stuff. So I picked up this MJ for $330. Its run ok, but needs an exhaust and lots of body work. I put this 97+ front end on because I had it laying around.

And the XJ

Hello I'm Armand, I'm from Wallingford Connecticut. Ive had 12 cherokees and this is my first comanche and I find myself driving it way more then my cherokees! She was in rough shape when I got her but slowly I've been putting it all back together.

Has a 4.0L and AW4, 193xxx miles, I put old 4.5inch front coils in the front and did an SOA out back with a 98 XJ 8.25 that I trussed and put ZJ disc brakes on it...I found some wheels in the junkyard that looked alright so I picked those up and mounted some beat @$$ baja claws. I took out all the vacuum disco crap and put in 297 shafts from a newer cherokee. I also ripped all the guts outta the NP231 because the chain was jumping over the front output and replaced them with s10 internals, and last but not least I have a fuel cell in the bed because I couldnt find a sending unit for it..I wish I knew about this place at the time I'm sure I coulda got one then!

Future plans include 4.88's, lockers (which I have but I just bought a house so I have no time for anything), cage, 97+ header and drivetrain when this one quits. Homemade longarms, Prob some sort of tubular bed...maybe someday when my house is all set.

This is my cherokee, lots of stuff, locked, 4.56's, D30/8.25, ZJ rear discs, the start of my cage with crow 5 points, my own front and rear bumpers, tube doors etc etc etc you get the picture.
