  1. Does anyone know where the supposed VIN location is on the right side ''frame'' rail on a manche...The DMV tells me there is one there somewhere and they are the DMV so they must be right (sarcasm). :dunno:
  2. Yea you guys are right it does sound pretty skeevy haha, Luckily I just talked to my grandfather and I can go through his shop and claim it as an abandoned vehicle using the other VIN identifications on the truck. I also spent the 35 bucks and carfaxed the VIN and its clean.
  3. Possibly in need of a gray bench seat in the connecticut area thanks!
  4. I've raced the NETRA series up here in New England for a while, and a few Gncc's The New Jersey ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) qualifier Pocket bike My KX125 back in the day around 2004
  5. Yea my 99 cherokee has 4.56's with 33's, she runs pretty good. My MJ is pretty much a work and run around truck since I bought my house, but I have alot of work coming up on my 99 so I'm making the mj driveable to commute the 20 mins back and fourth to work.
  6. Yes I am I believe its 15 percent with 33's and 3.55's
  7. I did put the e3 plugs in haha, and I'm not complaining, no where in my post was i complaining. This isnt my first rodeo with lifting vehicles so i know the results very well. i am however not familiar with the renix injection system, so I was just wondering if there was some hidden secret to them. Thanks all for any input offered!
  8. So on my 88 comanche it looks like I'm getting about 10 to 11 mpg, this is with 33's and stock 3.55 gears, new O2, MAP sensor, K&N air filter, plugs, and all checked and good vacuum lines. Is there anything else in the bowels of the renix system that I can do to squeeze 1 or 2 more out of it or am I lucky to be getting what i'm getting? thanks for any input!!
  9. So I want to put 98 cherokee bucket seats in my 88 comanche that has a bench seat, can somone tell me or direct me to a thread that has the info I need? Thanks!
  10. yea i guess I shoulda been a little more specific, the interior and dash harness is what I'm trying to thin out, the engine bay harness is a piece of cake.
  11. So I picked up a rolled 98 XJ for a donor to my 88 manche, I have the XJ completely stipped and my head is spinning with the amount of wires there are, the XJ had power everything, cruise, airbags, a/c, the works. I want my MJ to have power nothing, pretty much the updated interior and drivetrain, crank windows..no a/c, cruise, nothing, just a simple truck. So my question is, is there a thread buried on here somewhere, or does someone just know how to strip down this maze of wires to just what I need, I feel like I don't need half of these wires! Any info anyone can offer up would be awsome thanks! Long live the MJ!
  12. Yes I'm very aware that the odemeter is off, I'm not calculating it based on that, I just know that 5 gallons of gas should go way farther then 25 miles around town. haha
  13. So my project mj is an 88 and she runs great, but its getting horrible gas mileage..like..maybe 5 or 6 miles to the gallon. Right now its lifted about 4.5 inches and running 33's on stock gearing..Its runs exellent...I am running a fuel cell with an outboard pump that puts out about 100psi..Could it be pushing fuel into the engine because it can't return it fast enough? I know the system only uses about 39psi max..Other then that all the vacuum lines are new and the O2 sensor on the manifold is new..If anyone has any thoughts on this or can post up a link from a previous post that would be awsome thanks!
  14. I put a tranny cooler on my 88, thats about all I felt like doing haha
  15. Yea I'm sure he will especially because the one I'm getting is a girl haha, and I'm sure he will be much happier ferrets are very social creatures.
  16. I picked out 23 socks from my couch last week..23!..Its never to late man, I'm getting another one just because the owners don't want her anymore.
  17. Haha yea hes awsome, just don't leave anything out you don't want hidden he will take anything..I bought him 12 tennis balls and I can't find a single one..And as far as funky bathroom habits, when he is about the house he does know well enough to take his craps next to the toilet haha.
  18. Hello I'm Armand, I'm from Wallingford Connecticut. Ive had 12 cherokees and this is my first comanche and I find myself driving it way more then my cherokees! She was in rough shape when I got her but slowly I've been putting it all back together. Has a 4.0L and AW4, 193xxx miles, I put old 4.5inch front coils in the front and did an SOA out back with a 98 XJ 8.25 that I trussed and put ZJ disc brakes on it...I found some wheels in the junkyard that looked alright so I picked those up and mounted some beat @$$ baja claws. I took out all the vacuum disco crap and put in 297 shafts from a newer cherokee. I also ripped all the guts outta the NP231 because the chain was jumping over the front output and replaced them with s10 internals, and last but not least I have a fuel cell in the bed because I couldnt find a sending unit for it..I wish I knew about this place at the time I'm sure I coulda got one then! [imghttp][/img] Future plans include 4.88's, lockers (which I have but I just bought a house so I have no time for anything), cage, 97+ header and drivetrain when this one quits. Homemade longarms, Prob some sort of tubular bed...maybe someday when my house is all set. This is my cherokee, lots of stuff, locked, 4.56's, D30/8.25, ZJ rear discs, the start of my cage with crow 5 points, my own front and rear bumpers, tube doors etc etc etc you get the picture. My 98 on 31's that my gf drives. And what the hell here's my ferret because hes the shiz
