He said, "Pic's on the way". :fool: Welcome to the club. A lot to be shared and learned with a little humor here and there. :D

E brake pedal return spring
mfpdm replied to alex_and_sean's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've seen cases where the cable gets gummed up and will not allow the pedal to fully release. May want to check that. Unhook the cable and see if the pedal returns all the way. I suppose you could shoot some WD40 down the cable to lube it up. :dunno: Plus clean the old grease off the pedal assembly and replace with fresh. Afterall, it is probably 20 years old if it hasn't been cleaned before. -

Offer like that here would of lasted about 10 minutes. I know I would have jumped on it. -
Should of saved the back of the cab and roof for a Cheromanche. Then a trailer with what was left.

Where can I get one of these?
mfpdm replied to bighause's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
May want to go ahead and change out the frame mount while your at it. If the hole is waddled out it won't take long to mangle your new one. Pull one from the JY from any XJ and if I remember right the TJ's are the same as well. -

Comanche of the month, May 2010 --- 89Eliminator's 1989
mfpdm replied to Automan2164's topic in Comanche of the Month (MJOTM)
Super Nice. Another fine example of beauty and the beast. So Wade, in this pic were you doing donuts prior to taking the picture. :brows:  -
I would agree, But.......he spell Comanche wrong, so it's only worth about 50 bucks to me  Other wise, it is a nice MJ for the asking :D What's wrong with the spelling? :dunno: That is worth it all day long, if it's not been infested with those metal eating termites. :D

Correct... 91+ 2.5 and 4.0 pumps are the same. I live in a Renix era world. :D Off topic, your new avatar cracks me up. Looks like the kid from the online stock trading commercials.  -
Two words, Alien Abduction. :peek:

I've seen a couple of cases where people have used bulk fuel hose and clamps on the outlet side of the fuel rail but not the inlet. However, I'm a true believer in using factory specs for things like fuel lines. Seen too many bad results from fuel leaks. My neighbor has set his mustang on fire twice now.

That would be cool.

Only difference between the 4.0 and 2.5 sending unit assemblies. The 4.0 has a slot that the upper fuel pump bracket tab fits in. -
Welcome to the Club. I'm like the rest that op to see if you can free it up. I've had experience in two different versions of "it won't run". First time plugging all the plug wires in solved that one. However I was told that the following one just needed a head gasket. :shake: Even if you get it freed up and it blows up on you shortly after, you shouldn't be out too much coin.

I've shipped several tailgates with Fedex and I think the most costly one was $40. Generally they were in the $25-$35 range. Just priced one coast to coast at $27. Only time the price starts creeping up is if it's going to an area out in the sticks.

Backspacing on them suck though. You would need spacers and/or WJ lowers so they wouldn't rub. I'm getting rid of the set I have on the Mazda B truck. I think I would of had to buy it back for the price though. Lots a parts. :brows:

I've seen this pic dozens of times and it's the first time I noticed that they are sporting different grilles. Did they just swap one out or are they two different year MJ's? On steering boxes, I pulled the manual box out of the last MJ I parted out. Figured it might come in handy for a future project one day.
-
There is just a slight difference between the two. The 4.0 one has a small tab that locks into a slot on the upper pump mount. That is why there are two part numbers. The swap the 4.0 pump on the 2.5 sender, you just have to bend that tab over. You could probably do it without bending it but it would not sit flush even though it would still work. Anyhow, to OP, PM sent.

Ribbon magnet.

That's an HO cluster and will not work in your 87. The 87 cluster housing will be blue and will have the mechnical speedo hookup. It would look something like this.

Great job on rebuilding the Libby. I did have to laugh though about the Car show win. I mean, your SUV took the Truck category. :hmm: Was there no Trucks in the show? What took the SUV category?

Yeah, up a couple of post I put the price of them just forgot to put the link. Also linked to those on the first page. However from that link, he said he had to elongate the hole a little to make them fit. :dunno: The Point that I'm trying to make is to have a light that you don't have to alter the hole, easy to replace, cost very little, and work better than the stock ones. Each one of the lights that I have found cost me a $1.97 a piece from the JY. I like the Land Rover ones because they are just the lens without any trim and have a regular bulb that's easy to replace. I like the Taurus ones because they are easily found and the trim lays flat enough and can be painted to match the color I want. Best of all, these are Cheap! This is no way the only replacements out there just easy JY finds that fit right in the hole as it came from the factory.

Yep, door switches and of course turning the headlight knob for interior lights. It fits well and looks really good even though the pictures kind of suck. I must of been shaking a little when I took the pic's. :shake:

Here's one also that I found today but it will need a little help to work. It's out of a 96 Ford Escort hatchback. It fits right in and gives you the option of turning the lights off at the light. It has a little bigger gap at the top Here's where it needs some help. It will not stay in the hole without something that you can clip on the back to hold it in. Shouldn't take to much as one side has a tab. These have a smaller bulb and are not as bright but it's an option. I'm sure their is an LED that would brighten it up.
