  1. This is one of the upgrades I've been pondering for my project. Was looking at all of the jeep overheads but then did a search on ebay for "overhead console" which lead to a ton of different makes and models of vehicles with a varity of console choices. I've though about ones like this which has the temp, compass, and map lights, plus an auto dimming rearview. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02-DODGE-OVERHEAD-CONSOLE-WIRING-REARVIEW-MIRROR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33695QQitemZ180100878561QQrdZ1 Alot of the ones offered on ebay come with the wiring harness, brackets, and temp sensor. Plus you could also snag these from the JY probable cheaper than ebay. I'll have to get some measurements but for the most part it looks like alot would fit with minor modification.
  2. Paint shop pro 8 and animation shop software. Simple ones like that one have about 8 frames(pictures). I use psp 8 to change each picture a little and then copy it over to animation shop and attach them all together. It allows to save in several media formats which that one is a .gif, which is small in size. The emoticons are the same format. :D
  3. test simple animation
  4. I'm a little confused about the clip and non clip and the plugs. 35C indicates clip right? Here is the axle in the 88 MJ. It came from a YJ (not sure of year) and has 35C on it and a rubber plug. Now here is the pic of the axle in the 89 XJ I'm using for parts. It has 35C and a steel plug. :hmm:
  5. Just push the button on the front of your computer Pete, that ejects that fancy tray with the cup holder thingy for sending beer. :rotfl2:
  6. I'm new here so I won't stand to high on the soap box. I agree that this is a off topic section and should be open to whatever, but I also agree that somethings just might not fit that well. Even though I have recently started posting to the forum, I have lurk though it for a long time. I've always found it a place of pretty happy go lucky people willing to help you and not slam you for your opinion or your lack of knowledge. Not saying anything bad was in that thread but it seemed alittle out of place here and something I would see on a CNN blog. I've seen over time that anytime you discuss politics or religion things might get out of hand and someones feeling may get hurt. I feel the lock down was just a preventitive measure with good intentions. I come here to learn, laugh, and escape some of the day to day issues that can just bring ya down. This is just my 2 cents.
  7. I think this might be the one.

    What's in the box?

 2 u-pulls. lol Next time I'm up that way I'll let you know. Just notice your sig, I was at the pick n pull down here last weekend and there was an 87 2wd with the 2.5 in it. I snagged the interior pillar lights. :brows: Should of snagged the tailgate too. It had little to no rust or dents and the handle worked good.

    What's in the box?

I'm down south of you in Chesapeake. I always see good thing on craigslist for your area. May have to work a deal with you to snag some of those goodies. :brows: Sorry Colton I can't part with it right now. My son is going to decide on it after we get the truck painted as to which grille looks best. After that, one of them will be up for grabs. The 8 slot thats on it right now is in great shape just faded.

    What's in the box?

It is black and really shiny. At first I though I got ripped with an aftermarket one because I had never seen one that shiny however the part #'s match on the back and on the box. I don't think an aftermarket company would risk the lawsuit over that. It was actually made by AMC though, because it has the AMC logo on the back. I guess Chrysler just stuff it in their box. Did a test fit just to see what it would look like on the 88. Not sure how I like it being that shiny and the light bezels and bumper being flat black.

    What's in the box?

That bug bit me too when I saw this on ebay  It was in FL and would have cost big $ to ship to VA. If it could of made the drive I would have flown down there in a split second. I love the look of the front. Would like to see someone fab that up for an MJ.

    What's in the box?

OMG I can't keep up. DING DING DING DING We have a winner! :jump: MJColton (Comanche Club member formally known as ComancheRob) It is a new factory grille. No you haven't been drinking to much, It has 10 slots. I know project88mj was really close but the judges threw it out because the word billet was in there. :( or do I need to shot the judges? Have enjoyed and will be hanging around this group for a good while (Even if I don't get a MJ)

    What's in the box?

Sorry but I actually gave it to my son. The MJ will be his D/D after we restore it. It was a little gift for getting all A's on his report card  The TJ is mine although working with his I think I've been bitten by the bug and keep looking for another MJ. :brows:

    What's in the box?

Well I did get a set of vent windows, but their not new or in this box. In fact one is from the local pick n pull and I have to get the dark tint off. New radiator and split window is needed too for my project however it's not in that box.

    What's in the box?

Not a billet grille. Did the factory offer a billet grille? Not trying to be rude, was just curious. :hmm:

    What's in the box?

Doh! I told you I was a noob. :dunce: It's about 3 1/2 feet long, alittle over a foot high, and 3 or 4 inches thick. Nope, it's not a tail gate.
  18. I'm a noob, but I thought I might have a bit of fun and get to know a few of yall. I got this for an 88 Pioneer MJ awhile back to use during it's restoration. It's factory original and new. :brows: Can you figure out what's in the box? :hmm: I'll give it a day or two unless the answer comes out before then. Which with the this group it probably will. :smart:
  19. Thanks. I just posted a few pics in the introduce your comanche tread over in the pub.
  20. Well I've lurked around here long enough to find out this is the best place on the net if you own a Comanche. Here's the father and son project. It's a 88 four banger 2wd for now but in the next couple of months it'll be converted over to 4wd with a 4.0 and some new things here and there. only a few spots of surface rust clean underneath Not to bad inside however buckets seats and a change of color will be soon This truck may look familiar as it was listed for sale on here awhile back http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1949 I'm looking forward to me and the son fixin this up. I know I'll be askin alot of questions but I know this is the right place to ask them. :D
  21. Yeah it worked.
  22. Here goes nothing.
