87 Pioneer In California $3250
shelbyluvv replied to RubberDuck's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
The seat is wrong too. It has a stick seat and the truck is clearly a auto on the column. There are a few things not adding up with that truck. I like the color scheme though. -
I got my LWB shell free from a member here. Thanks again John!

Project "Black Betty"
shelbyluvv replied to shelbyluvv's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
I have a shorter belt and a delete pulley with the stock belt for which ever direction I choose. I used a HO MJ pump and sender in my stock tank. I had to replace all the wiring from the tank forward for the swap. It is all either 93+ XJ, 91 Mj, or 94 ZJ. There is also some Neon wiring in there too. -

Project "Black Betty"

What year is your ZJ donor? The year of the donor is a huge factor on the build direction. 93-95 is OBD-I and 96-98I is OBD-II. The motor mounts are stock ZJ mounts with a 2" drop bolted to them. -
Thanks everyone. I am pretty sure I'm punching out at 22 1/2 years. I'm not getting any younger and my body is starting to let me know that too. Only time will tell though!

Project "Black Betty"

With the long weekend I decided to get Dakota out of the house and make him do some work on his truck. He is filing out the holes on the hood for the new hood vents. I decided to do something different with this set of vents. Everyone just cuts little "L" brackets to keep the vents on. That is too easy for me! I left tabs from the hood metal and bent them over to use as mounts. A few screws with some nuts and they are permanently attached to the hood. Nice and clean. Just the way I like it. It was a real toss up if I wanted hood vents. I like to look of them though. The vents sealed the deal for hood pins too. They give the truck a cool retro look. With Betty being an 86 the hood latch and spring are next to impossible to use with the Magnum and my radiator choice. I tore apart some XJ hood latches and stole the springs. The springs let the hood pop up nice and easy and will keep it from bouncing around. -

I Tried To Tell You Guys Your Guns Will Be Banned...here It Is...
shelbyluvv replied to Jeep Driver's topic in The Pub
They have not done $#!& yet. Why do you need a AK-47? It is a useless pos weapon. A bolt or lever action rifle, pump shotgun, or a single shot is all you need for hunting. I could care less if they ban all high cap mags and semi and full auto guns. Be it a shotgun, rifle, or pistol. There is no use for them, peroid. If you think I am some hippie tree hugger you might want to do some research on me to see who I am. Now stop your whinny bull$#!&. I am about to click the button on you to make you go away. This is your one and only warning. -
Comanche 2.1 Diesel Nos Cylinder Head On Ebay

Cheapest place I found it was at genosgarage.com

Pete, can I ban him? At least let me delete his paranoid dribble!

Red or burgundy/maroon interior? If it is the maroon color I could use the seat covers as long as there are no rips or burns.

A MOPAR swap is not easy. There are no off the shelf motor mounts, you have to decide if you want OBD-I or OBD-II. That means either a HO dash harness and gauges or a 97+ conversion. You will also need to get real friendly with a few different FSMs to work out the wiring. It is fun though!

Thanks fellas. Having new stripes sewn on is just a right of passage. I'll hand my old ones down to a worthy Marine and continue the tradition. 19 years might seem long but I have some broken time. I got out in June of 97 as a E5 because I could not re-up with the Gulf War drawl down. I came back in Oct of 97 as a E3 and pretty much started over. I'll find out in a month or two where I'm going. I am hoping for GA but it all depends on the needs of the Corps.

Rob, boomerang shackles are used for clearance issues on XJ shackle boxes. The dog leg allows more clearance than a straight shackle because of their offset design.

Help My Find Out Year Of Mj
shelbyluvv replied to Tylerzap's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Get the vin and some pics. -
First hand. I ran a set of them on an XJ and it was scary. I almost totaled it during a panic stop when they unloaded under hard braking. I also had a great time at Tellico when they opened up on an off camber spot on Guardrail.
-
They are for ramp queens. They unload under hard braking and while you lean in a corner or a off camber situation.
-
I want to know why they left those stupid and dangerous Revolver shackles on the back.

I got hammered with her at a WEROCK event a few years ago in Las Vegas.

SEM paint a tan one. It works very good on low wear parts.
