Call your local news station and get them involved. They will change their story quick, fast, and in a hurry as soon as the cameras come on. I had to do it over my 07 Ram the dealership wrecked. I got a NEW bed side put on my truck. It did not have bondo in it when I bought it and it sure as hell wasn't going to have it after they wrecked it trouble shooting a transmission.

That is some of the prettiest country I have ever seen! I fell in love with Carson Valley a few months ago. If I knew for a fact that when I retire from the Marines in a few years that I had a job lined up I would stay in that area. Know anyone looking for a mech? :chillin: Beautiful pics!!!

That is the ring tone my wife has set for when I call her. It even pops up with a pic of the WJ.

Project "Black Betty"
shelbyluvv replied to shelbyluvv's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
It has been a little over 3 years since I sold Betty. She has been through at least 3 owners before she made it back into my hands. Special thanks goes to Dean for letting me buy the truck back and borrow his trailer to do it! Dean is in no way responsible for the following pics! Here she is in all her glory! She is currently sporting the same wheels and tires I sold her with. The axles are factory geared XJ D30/D35 with 4:56s. She has a SOA rear and a mish mash of stuff up front to equal out to about 6"s or so. She is still wearing the "billet" grille I made for it as well! For you factory black interior lovers please skip the next few pictures! One of the PO decided to "rice" out the interior and paint it.... RED I guess ruining a extremely rare dash and chucking a black bench was not enough. He decided to chop up the door panels too! The 2.5/AX-5/NP207 combo is MIA as well. This leaves me in a bit of a pickle. Do I... #1 Restore the truck to factory with the 2.5 combo? #2 Drop a 4.0 stroker motor, AX-15, 231 into it? or #3 Shoehorn a 4.7 V8, 545RE trans, and a 247 transfer out of a WJ with a 97+ interior???? OH THE DECISIONS!!!! :D -

Me being a Turbo Mopar nut I can weigh in on this a little. The Mopar 2.2/2.5 never found it's way into a Jeep. Not even the common block version of it. If it would have you could place money that I would have a turbo MJ flying around. The 2.5 used in the Jeep is a totally different block and bell housing. I have been playing with the 2.2 and 2.5 powered Mopars for over 20 years. I still to this day own a Garnet and Silver 87 Shelby Charger. This is where my user name is derived from. So, to answer the question, yes Chryco and AMC made 2.5 liter 4s. They are nothing alike externally or internally. -

Nice truck. Warning they are very addictive! I noticed your sig, It says 09 WJ? Jeep stopped making the WJ in 2004. I think you have a WK. -
We made it to Vegas last night. The ram weighed in at 11,500 pounds. She still managed to pull 17 MPG. The WJ did awesome towing the Shelby. It got an average of 18 MPG. I love the Jeep. I am in love with the 4.7 V8! I can't wait until I have a MJ with that drive train in it. Jen, did amazing towing the car the whole way. I am more impressed with her every day. Hard to believe after 16 years together she still does things that I had no idea she could do. We will be headed to 29 Palms CA tomorrow to look for a house. Oh the joys of military moves.

We left the museum and found ourselves camping along the Mississippi River in Arkansas. I took a lot of pics at the Wellborn museum. I loaded them on my FB page. I think I get it set so everyone can see them. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/album.php?aid=2042555&id=1446122050 We are headed to Oklahoma toady. Johnny, we will be there in 29 Palms off and on until Aug 1st. We will be there permanently on the 2nd.

16 wheels a rollin'!!! We left GA today headed to California, again. We are currently in Alexander City, AL. We are making a detour to see the Tim Welborne Muscle Car Museum. When we leave from the museum we are headed up to Memphis to camp and swin in the Mighty Mississippi. I am dragging the camper behind the Ram and my wife is toting the Shelby Charger on a dolly behind the WJ. I will keep ya'll posted on our progress. Bo and Family!

:agree: -
They are TJ Canyons. They are 15x8 with 5x4.5 bolt pattern, not to be confused with the ZJ Canyons which are 15x7 with the same bolt pattern.

My DD. I have no problem with space. It ain't a bad truck for $18K either.

The OG, Vanishing Point... "The Beast" was awesome. "It takes a Mopar, to catch a Mopar!"

If he was that good... He could have installed the grill the right way.

Congrats! The hardest part about the delayed entry program is not getting in trouble with the law for that year. I just passed 17 years on active duty as a Marine (Marine is always capitalized when talking about the Corps) and would not change it for the world. I am packing up my crap and getting ready to move from Georgia back to 29 Palms California. It is a good life. The first 2 years or so will suck until you pick up some rank. Get used to being treated like an idiot until you become an NCO. Unless you are that 10%. If you are you will find out rather quickly!!! Semper Fi and good luck! Gunny

That looks like body filler cracking. I don't think you will be able to weld them. -

You can flip your springs around. It will strech the wheel base about 3-4 inches.
