SMOKIN deal on Rubis w/BFG MTs
shelbyluvv replied to WahooSteeler's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Be careful those are JK take offs. Wrong lug pattern for a MJ. -
^ would be correct. Semper Fi!
-
^^^ is also from PA Three in a row!

I have a Georgia title... It will be re-titled using a messenger service (PJs Auto Tags) in PA. I did not know about being allowed to lower the GVWR. Thanks.
-
I guess I got a smoking deal ($160 shipped) on my new bumper from CL that was posted here.

Thanks everyone for the correct answer. I knew PennDot was wrong this time. Pete, I am moving to Cali. Being active duty military I am allowed to keep my vehicles registered in my home of record, which is PA. This will save me from getting them smogged for 3-4 years before I retire. I also do not have to pay the crazy fees Cali wants to register a car every year.
-
PA folks, when you registered your MJs with PennDot are they registered as cars or trucks? I am getting ready to get mine street legal and I was told it is considered a car like the XJ is. Is this right?

You can get these for a few dollars more. http://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/bf+goodrich/31%252F10.50-15+bf+goodrich+mud+terrain+ta+km2+++n%252Fa.html

Towed it home after it left me stranded. I think it is either a fuel starvation problem or the CPS is playing games. I got a lot of bubbles out of the fuel rail after we strapped it back to the house.

I would have to add my beloved Dodge Rampage to your collection of uni-body pick ups. They were made from 82-84. Plymouth even had some play in 83 and called them Scamp. This was my 84 and a 83 Plymouth Scamp

My 87 Shelby Charger was built June 13, 1986. It is one of the earliest 87's known to exist.
-
I did use the 97's drivetrain (engine, trans, and transfer) in the truck. My son washed and detailed the engine. he gets all the credit for that.
-
I backed it into the garage under it's own power! That is the first time I have not had to push the truck in over 18 months! She runs like a top. No smoke, CEL, misses, overheating, or weird sounds. It is perfect! I pick up my rear drive shaft tomorrow and get my SOA perches welded on this weekend. I will be taking her for a maiden voyage very soon.
-
As always Pete, don't mention it. That is what friends do for each other.
-
I guess you heard about the XJ from Russ then? I will be taking you up on the beer Avery! I want to see your MJ too.

You will neet to unbolt the exhaust, parking brake cable bracket, and gas tank also. It is easier to take the spare tire jack off before lifting it off as well. You will need to un-plug the wiring from behind the cab for the taillights also. See this thread for the bed bolt locations, http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21018&hilit=informative

Wow, You need to enlist in the military if that little "rule" freaks you out that much. Stop acting like a spoiled little prick and close your damn locker door. It is a safety hazard and I see exactly where the school is coming from. It is a liability for them to let something like this go on after someone was hurt and reported it.

My D35 is Growling at me.

PM sent to ya about the pump. -
RRO anything sucks. Glenn is a crook and he will screw you over. Their braces fit like crap. There is a member here who tried them. He fought the braces to get them installed. They still do not fit right. Their TBs are garbage. I used one and it fail a week after I got it. No replacement. I installed it wrong? How do you install a TB wrong. I was stuck with a junk TB and missing $150. I will never buy anything from RRO ever again and hope I can keep one person from giving Glenn Wakefeild and more money for his crappy parts. If you were going to build a lift this is what I would do, RC drop brackets RC adj uca and lca RC TB and bracket Rockkrawler coils RC 9000 series shocks Mopar spring perches Dakota rear brake line Chevy front brake lines Rough Country has come a loooooog way in the last few years. Their parts are top notch and have been holding up really well to some serious abuse.

Cool idea. Could have just PMed Pete and got the cards he has made already. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16665

good off-road setup???
shelbyluvv replied to M1A1TankerTom's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It sounds pretty good to me. I would run drop brackets or long arms in the front with 4" or more lift. I would also just put 4:88's in the axles for when you get inchitis and move up to 6" and 35" tires. It will save you from regearing the axles in the future. -
Not in the least. How are we to know that you were not stuck on private property (IE: trespassing) trying to get your stuff out of there before the land owner catches you? Or the truck has been sitting there for years and nobody owns it? Go ahead and laugh but these are some of the things I have seen people try and come on boards asking for guidance on how to fix a Jeep. Stating that there were things "I don't want to go into the reasons right now". The way you worded the OP it sounded like you were trying to hide something. I am looking out for my friend (Pete) and the members of this board. So the short answer is no, I am not ashamed of myself in the least.
