  1. Evil is all around us. I kinda like this look for her! Thoughts, comments?
  2. That is a LWB bed. Notice the gas filler is not centered between the flare and the front.
  3. They switched the light switch in 91 IIRC. The plugs are different between the two.
  4. PM Fiatslug, he had one.

  6. The 8th position of the VIN says it is a Comanche Base. I think the D44 was swapped into the truck at some point in its life. A Metric Ton Base would have an F in the 8th position. Nice truck either way!
  7. Yes and all the underhood wiring. Please do us a favor and turn off the CAPs lock. It makes posts hard to read.
  8. If you have the interwebs you has the Superbowl! http://atdhe.me/
  9. I got mine yesterday. It looks great!

    I wish...

 12 Valve Bonus points if you tell me how you knew. Rob L. I could tell by the mirrors. I have never seen a 24V with the little chrome mirrors. I also do not see a 3rd door on it. I could be wrong about the door though. The 99 and newer Rams have the extra doors.
  12. B2tjvk5AuNU That is all!
  13. Carbon deposits on the piston heads. If your idle is too high it can cause it too. I like to take an eye dropper and drip a little water into the throttle body while it is running. This will clean the deposits off the pistons.

    I wish...

Just one of the reasons I sold Onyx. I love a LWB MJ. But, if Betty's bed is not enough, I always have room in this.
  15. No thanks You got the right idea.
  16. I am looking for a 2.5 badge off the tailgate. I have a special idea for it! Let me know the price shipped to 92277.

    New Tow Rig

The MPGs will go up a lot after the engine breaks in too. Mine brought the suck until it hit 80K. I now get 18 CTY and 23 HWY. Winter blend does not help at all either. Go to Wally World and pick up some Cetane Booster. That will help as well.
  18. If you are having this much trouble just doing a simple head gasket swap... A V8 swap is not in the cards for you yet. There is a metric crap ton of work and research that needs to be done to make the 5.9 swap even possible. I have been bending wrenchs for 20+ years and the Magnum swap is testing my mechanical abilities. The swap is not cheap nor easy. There are things that need to be done to make it possible that you have not even begun to think of. Some of the things that need to be addressed right off the top of my head at this point are, motor mounts transfer clearance (floor pan) air intake size brake light switch head light switch fuel supply cooling HVAC wiring (all depends on engine/transmission chioce) custom drive shafts custom trans cross member There are still a lot of other little things that need to be switched as well. I have them all written down at home stuck under the wiper blade of the truck. That reminds me, the wiper motor wiring is diffent from 86 MJ and the 93 XJ donor. I need a new wiper motor. I am not trying to discourage you by any means. I would hate to see you get nuts deep into a swap just to scrap it because all the little things start to rear their ugly heads. Do your reasearch on the swap, a LOT of it. Before you even think about pulling the trigger on it.

    New Tow Rig

I bought my 07 CTD last year. I love my truck. Mine is a 5.9 with the 48RE trans. I had to have the tranny rebuilt a week after I bought it. Instead of a rebuild my trans guy slapped a ATS Stage II in it. All covered by the warranty. When he tore the trans down there was a piece casting flash not letting the clutch drum seal completely against the case. It was a bad trans from the factory and the PO never noticed the wierd shifting problems. It is perfect now. I would not trade my truck for anything now. I will never go back to a gas tow rig again. Congrats on the new rig. It sure is a pretty thing!
  20. Click the Black Betty link in my sig. The engine swap sarts on page 5.
  21. I gotcha buddy! Be careful out there man.
  22. My first set of MTRs lasted for awhile. But, all the other GYs I have bought have wore way too fast. The SRAs on my Ram have about 10K on them and they will need to be replaced in about 6 months. I will be replacing them fit either BFG A/Ts or Pro Comp A/Ts.
  23. A ZJ 5.2 will fit in a MJ engine bay like it is made for it. No custom manifolds or oil pans on a lifted rig. You just need to lower the engine in the bay about 1" to get the hood to close. You will also need a custom radiator if you want it to look semi stock. You will also have to cut the floor out to fit the transfer case in there. I have been working on my 5.2 Magnum conversion for about 3 months now. It takes me longer because I am pretty much in uncharted teritory and only have weekends to mess with it. Oh, and the wiring is not a good time at all. I am staying fuel injected.
  24. I would but a $125 plus shipping would bring the suck. I might have a trade deal worked out here for mine.
