I got into pretty bad about 6 years ago. I had a couple Walker dogs and some English. I did it almost every single night for 3 years. I loved the sound of the hounds opening up on a quiet night. I miss it so much at times. I had to let my dogs go when I got transfer to the desert in 05. It would not have been right to keep dogs from Creekside Doc as pleasure dogs. I really miss going to the competition hunts too. Drifter and Molly Dog won me a lot of money.

Sounds like the throw out bearing is going bad.

fan hitting harmonic balancer????
shelbyluvv replied to oldrusty's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Only once... Right before the harmonic balancer took off and took out my radiator. You might want to see if it is coming apart. -
Welcome to the Club. Nice pair of trucks you have. The donor looks pretty nice! Is that a Monte Carlo SS hiding in the background or a El Camino SS? Either way I need moe pics. They are my favorite Chevy's ever produced.

Project "Black Betty"
shelbyluvv replied to shelbyluvv's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
For the last couple weeks this has been my nightmare. That would be a 94 XJ/94 ZJ engine harness laying there. You will also see three different FSMs and the laptop with more wirining diagrams pulled up. For anyone thinking about doing a Magnum swap I suggest you read and study the FSMs for each vehicle involved. I decided today to eliminate the A/C wiring for now. I need to do more research on how the system operates and know what parts I need to make what work. The ZJ and XJ have entirely different systems. I will get to it one of the days just not right now. I don't use A/C very much as is. I may never put it in. Only time will tell. -
wheelbase question
shelbyluvv replied to Comanche_Fanatic's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I heard what you said.... The only MJ to have is a LWB truck. -
Is that bench cloth or plastic? I want to return my MJ's interior to stock and would like to have a nice vinyl bench to put back in her. I have a nice set of dark gray ZJ buckets modified to fit a MJ for trade...

Do I want to know how you found that?

92 MJ for sale in AR $900
shelbyluvv replied to dave92cherokee's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Man, would that be one hell of a detour. The MJ is in Arkansas not Arizona! -
I am Robert Kennedy and I approve of this post! :jump:

The 21 slot was only offered on the 84 and 85 XJ Wagoneer. They were never offered on any MJ from the factory. 86-90 got the 4 stack headlights on the Wagoneer. Again, never offered on the MJ.

Man I feel your pain Pat. I just had to have my propane tank filled. $3.55 a gallon with a 75 gal minimum. Then they charge an addtional $5 delivery charge. Rediculious!!! The best part is, right after we got it filled the temps have been in the high 70's and the heat has not been on since. At this pace the LP will last until May or so. My heater, furnace, water heater, and dryer all run off LP. I think the LP conversion on my dryer was one of the best mods I could have done. For some reason they dry 10X faster now.

Chief, I don't see any in tank wiring on that. I just see the fuel sender wires. It is a couple wires short to work on a FI engine.

A 4.0 weighs about 515 lbs, A "LA" 360 weighs right at 500, Of course options on the engines change the weight a few pounds here and there.
-
The 5.9 weighs less than a 4.0, just something for you to think about.

Multiple MJ /XJ Questions
shelbyluvv replied to Dadinator's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No, they are smaller than an MJs Betty had a 2" BB and 31s, see sig below The pumps are the same. But, the metal bracket and tubes inside the tank are different I am almost positive they are. The dash harness is different. You will need to swap some wires to run the taillights and brake lights. See DIY section for a write up Pics of what? See the DIY section, I did a write up there on doing just that -
Happy Birthday Day my friend!

Newbie from Northwest Arkansas in potential search of an MJ
shelbyluvv replied to turboxr's topic in The Pub
I would personally be looking for a LWB as a tow rig. While the SWB trucks can tow just fine the extra wheel base is nice when towing. But then again, a MJ is not really the right truck for towing a car on a trailer. They are just too light in the rear. The TOAD tends to push them around. You should honestly be looking for a fullsize half ton or heavier pick up. -
There isn't a key for the ¢ symbol, but you can type Alt 0162 or Alt 155. Just FYI. There are codes for a whole bunch of symbols that you can type on pretty much any windows system. You have to have numers lock on and use the key pad on windows alt 155 ¢ or alt 0162 ¢ But, it does work! Thanks for the tip! Here is a list of other cool things you can do with the alt key http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/accents/codealt.html
