Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. i've read a few different things and know how to do it on the newer style any pics or write-ups on exactly what to loosen on the 88 4.0 renix ultimately i'm trying to replace the alternator, thanks
  2. Thanks, i'm in Reno, NV, leave april 18th for 6 years active duty got a party to attend to april 9th and 10th so that's all i needed it for...
  3. i'm in the market and looking to just pick up the absolute cheapest used camper shell i can find used what will fit a short bed? or what should i be looking for dakota? ranger? etc.
  4. was driving around, next thing i know my voltage was slowly dropping, got it home, tried starting it quickly after shutting it off and it was too dead to start i checked the voltage prior to shutting it off and with lights on running it was at like 10.3volts which is less than it should be what should i be checking? is there an easy way to check the alternators output? does it sound like charging/ alt problems?
  5. that's what we were thinking, just kinda wondering how it would look?
  6. why not just get the correct size shocks? i'm sure you could do it but it wouldn't be very ideal
  7. I trimmed my front fine, after looking at the rear i could use some help or pics/write-ups. It seems to have the double layered metal deal and i don't want to trim it and have that seperate and peel apart from eachother, any issues with this? and please don't give me the same reply i got on JeepForum... "why are you trimming?" lol :USAflag:
  8. i know this is depressing and you guys can hate me it's alright  my MJ has the 6.5" RockKrawler long arm lift up front and SOA in the rear i'm in the market for a newer 97+ XJ being that the short arms on the MJ were hacked off, i'm taking the long arms to the XJ, and i'd like to put as little money into it, what is my best way to go about putting short arms back on? weld on new drop brackets? i need ideas there also, i'll be swapping my axles from the MJ into the XJ and vice versa which would require new brackets for the axles because the leaf widths are different on the MJ to XJ correct?

    I wish...

It's kinda a love hate relationship  for wheelin' i do like the short bed and when i'm out exploring and camping i can lower the tailgate as i don't fit in the bed :wall: maybe i do like my short bed... hmmm

  11. in my 88 4.0L did the ax-15 swap and my linkage and such doesnt line up and can't figure it out, any write ups or correct linkage to pick up? thanks for any advice, Austin
  12. need to convert, any links to this? i hear it doesn't take more than an hour and i'm not willing to run the old style
  13. lol i know in my 88 i gots a true nuetral
  14. what is a good pressure for it to be pushing at idle? also i'm not to sure on fuel pressure if i was able to drive it on the streets at speed through all the gears? seems like it's a fuel problem when i'm not on the gas going down hill using the engine for some compression
  15. Agree... Hose on fuel pump deteriorated.. also i was just out driving it around, essentially i wanna say everytime i was off the gas, it would sputter like in the vid and felt kinda sketchy shifting gears and such with it lurching around and stuff makes sense for a fuel pressure problem. i'm pretty much a n00b with jeeps but to get to the fuel pump i'd need to drop the gas tank? or what are the ways to check that that is truely the issue? Thanks alot
