  1. if its only 2 inches why even wast the time to take it off ? :huh???: if it looks odd then put bigger tires on it DUH :fool:
  2. try doing a leak down test on it
  3. No the 727 didnt have an OD and as far as the aw-4 being better thats crazy. the 727 is one of the best autos crysler ever put out , its right up there with the TH400 and C6 . and if it wer me id definetly try n use it.
  4. Do ya realy need the lip fer the flair , the hard part is done but i agree u would need a bead roler to do it but then u would need to straighten out every bend after that and the cost in labor in doing so would make the panels very expensive if u wer to make them for retail. also if u cut n bend like u said all the little cuts will premote rust and stress points which i don't think is a good idea. hey rockhard when did u become a AMSOIL dealer?
  5. Ask the owner of the minivan u swiped the speakers from ? maby they have a manual  :rotfl2:

  12. I don't think they will be taking this one back i cut the end off in order to get a good bite on it in the drill chuck . ;)
  13. Nope. New isn't necessarily perfect. Manufacturer defects, and the occasional one that didn't have as superior of a build quality, but it's not visible when leaving the factory. My buddy's TJ, all the sudden, one day, it would ride fine till about 35mph, and then all hell would break loose for vibration. Threw it up on a lift, balanced and rotated the tires, tightened any bolt you could set your eyes on underneath, shook everything checking for worn out bushings or anything, seemed perfectly fine. take it out for a test drive, did it again, but slightly different feeling, about the same speed. Back on the lift, pull all the tires, road force balance them, and quickly notice one is a little egg shaped. a section of tire, the entire width of the tire, and about 15-18 inches long was about 1/4" higher than the rest of the tire. Put that on the spare tire carrier, balanced the spare before installing, threw all the tires back on and handed the keys to my buddy. He was quite happy. When he asked what the problem was, I showed him the tire on the carrier, and he was quite surprised. The tires had under 2500 miles on them when this all happened. Only thing I miss about college was the 2 post lifts and the road force balancer... Thought id share this ., its a set of 38-14.50-15 thornbirds a budy gave me and when i de-mounted them , i quickly figured out why he had the shakes so bad, we just chalked it up to be because of the tire size but it was an inner tire seperation. not that i believe hornbrod's problem is this , just thought everyone might want to see that it does happen
  14. THATS FUNNY LOL :rotf:
  15. what did u use to trim the fenders , a hatchet ;) :D i like it, it gives the truck a "I Have Nothing To Lose" look and people tend to get out of the way when they see ya coming , at least they do fer me. keep it up i like
  16. Most of california is pretty rust resistant. That doesn't mean the majority of people out here are sensible or good at driving though. I live in Tahoe now and they unfortunetly salt the $#!+ out of the roads. My pretty rust free vehicles have contracted a bad case of rust in one winter up here. YUP very little rust around here where i live and I'm right at the oceans edge . when i first joined the comanche club i was suprised at how many mj's were in the suthern and northern states and how bad the rust was on their jeeps. when i lived in NC my 75 ramcharger was overgrown by rust in a year but when i came back to calie it slowed considerably, just the dern humidity and salt on the roads is crazy.
  17. when i said it was temporary i ment that most people buy the drop brackets as a good starter kit then upgrede later as the skill and wallet alow, just as u stated with ur truck.
