Yes...the Swamper TSL's were terrible in sand, but my Swamper TrXus MT's do great. The ProComp Xterrains do well is sand too, but those BFG AT's just plain sucked :dunno: . Sorry... I'll stop now :hijack:
-
I guess I am just used to very aggressive tires. I have not run anything but Swampers and Xterrains for years now so a street tire like the BFG AT just doesn't have what it takes for me ;)

Very nice  I have a friend here in Florida that was also a writer for JRations. Don't know if you ever knew him, but his name is Tom Dube and he has a really sweet TJ.

Just as long as anyone thinking of doing this is aware that it is illegal in a lot of places. If what you do is permenant, it may cause you some real headaches in the future :smart:

Interior turn signal lights come on when braking?
BLHTAZ replied to mknherhappy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes...it could very well be the same type of issue. -
I did a quick search on here and found this thread about it... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2348&hilit=ba10+tranny+plug There is also a factory service manual that you can download posted in the DIY forums here... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12517

Yea, the rear axle will not be a big deal...just move the perches to the right place. A YJ front axle will be a big PITA though as you will have to cut the perches off, find coil buckets and control arm brackets to weld on etc, etc... You really should find a front from an XJ and get the newer style that does not have the vac disconnect.

:agree: The AX-15 is a pretty tough tranny and as long as the one you have is in good shape without issues already, it should be fine.

Worst tire I ever owned. I used them temporarily as they came on the wheels that I wanted, but they had no traction in sand (we have a lot of down here) and they would slide terribly on wet roads as my wife yelled at me for ;) . They were nearly brand new too... I think you will be OK with the 31's for the way you use it for now...especially if you get those LCA's, but you will have to deal with a little rubbing regardless.

:agree: with CW. Chopping put parts of the exhaust is nothing but detrimental to the 4.0L engine. Keep the cat and run a free flowing muffler if you want the sound and it will perform better. DEFINITELY regear the axles if you wan to see a real difference in the "get-up-and-go"

Faxon - Comanche Shop Manual
BLHTAZ replied to glundblad's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have it hosted on my website and I posted the link here in the DIY forum... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12517 Do as the instructions say in that post and save it to your computer. Once downloaded, you can simply print the pages you need when you need them. It's kind of tough to find the real books any more, but they do show up on eBay every now & then. BTW...I posted the electrical manual as well... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12734 -
I didn't see anything about what type of tranny each has in it. If they are both manual, you are going to have to deal with one being an internal slave (the YJ) and the XJ being external...in which case you will have to swap the bellhousings and all related clucth parts as well. The front clip is pretty eeasy to take off of the YJ although just removing the grill is usually enough to make the swap easy.

I posted that in the classifieds here back on the 14th... viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14077&p=143810#p143810 I am shocked that it did not sell

:rotf: :jump: :rotf: My wife said something very similar to that... :clapping:

Interior turn signal lights come on when braking?
BLHTAZ replied to mknherhappy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I would definitely do as Pete says, but mine was the front sockets too. I found replacements for them at Auto Zone. -
No...no offense taken and I did not take you as pushy  You are right though, I mis-stated it. It says (as you said) that you must belive in a higher power (God in whatever name you call him) and they "strongly encourage" you to be active in that religion...not require you to be active. The belief is the requirement :smart: .

Picture #12... hittin' the bongs... :clapping: :rotf:

:rotf: Well then, I know for sure that I would want nothing to do with that. ' Union ' is an evil word :ack:

Yep...that is good advice. This is a fairly common issue as a lot of people just don't think to look at how those wires are run and don't realize how close they are to the exhaust or how easy it is to accidentally move them close when doing other work.

OK...there are a lot of weird twists & turns in that audio presentation, but it just reaffirms that Freemasonry is a religious group, BUT...not a "Religion". In order to be considered for membership, "you must be active in your choice of religious belief", is what was stated so to me that makes it a religious group...and there's nothing wrong with that. Although I believe in God and the protestant way of religious practice, I am definitely not active in it which would preclude me if I were to have thoughts of joining such a group...which I don't and likely never would. Thanks for the education  . I always enjoy learning.

Freemasonry is not a religious group. When you Google "Brethren", it describes it as a Protestant / Baptist / some other religion based group. I don't see where there was any mention of joining something called Freemason... :dunno: He said Brethren...which is a religious group as far as I can see. Guess I will have to do some more research as I don't know what Freemason means either... :hmm:

I don't understand the title... What does travelling have to do with joining some religious group? :dunno:

Yes...those questions are answered here MANY times ;) . Welcome to the Club  The D35 is trash...don't put another penny in to it. It has weak tubes, weak shafts and small ring & pinion. Find a D44. You can find them in some XJ's and I am sure you can get one for less than $300. The D44 is much stronger. All you would have to do is put the spring perches under the axle and in the right places...install shock mounts and you are good to go. I don't think I would be interested in trying to help if it was medical :ack:

:shake: Just more uneducated ignorance... :shake: Having Obama in there is going to do such damage to this country that I doubt God will be able to fix it. Tuesday was an incredibly sad day in my book :( . I made sure I stayed busy away from any TVs or Radios so I didn't have to hear the BS.

Rock Auto shows several choices for your year. Here is a screen shot of what I found, but it may not be real easy to read... Got to rockauto.com and you will find it.
