    2WD Rant

Yep! Beeing in snowland I would know. :Canadaflag: My 2 daily rides are back wheel drive and I don't mind. The wallet does but I don't put a price on safety and driveability.
  3. Looks like recovery is going the right way. I'm happy for you mate!
  4. That's what I did on my Cherokee and planning to do the same with the Comanche. Added custom thick leaves and used cargo coils up front. I got 2 inches off it for a fair price without loosing any driveability. It's a perfect solution I think without raising it too much.
  5. Get well mates!
  6. :Canadaflag: We see bigger rigs here. And that one is a very old model. I've seen ones with twice the height of the blade rotor you see here. We have sh*t load of snow, so we need big *ss blowers. I wish I had a picture. When they clean streets, there is a man in front with a flag-pole that pokes snowbanks in case they don't chop-chop children hidden in their fort. here is a couple of machine we see often
  7. I am the best! and I learned something today! Well use this thread for you information purposes. It was the fuse box the problem. The 7.5 Fuse called "instrument panel" had a broken socket (in the fuse box) So I learned that "instrument panel" fuse actually also control the alternator charging capabilities. It it wired to the voltage indicator in the dash board (which I don't have, obviously). So if this circuit is broken, even though you don't have a voltmeter in your dash, will stop the alternator charging. Thanks to BLHTAZ for the comanche manual he made aviable for us.
  8. So. Basicly my alternator isn't charging the battery. I have no suspicions as why it would have broke, I'm heading toward something else after a night's sleep. I've been touching a couple of cables after my crank sensor failure. The truck have been sitting for a months before i got time to fix it. it starts but the alternator isn't doing his job now. Now, look at the underlined text in the following: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found I'm getting voltage from the "L" terminal when the key is turned (motor not running) but I'm not getting any voltage in the "I" pin. (or is it the other way around. Anyway. is it normal to get power from only 1 of those terminals? Where does the non working teminal leads? Where do they actually both leads to? I suspect fuses but I'm not sure, and I can't be sure. the fuse box is all messed up. I' may be able to fix airplanes and engines but I know sh*t about electricity. It's -20 celcius outside and it's not fun to fix things. next house will have a garage. Thanks a lot. if you need pictures i'll provide. I'm off outside again, trying not to get frozen to death.
  9. It's massive compared to the other runner in the same class. but this is cooler
  10. Image Not Found yes it's a real lioness, a baby 7 months old. and yes they have teeth that bites hard. her paw is bigger than my hand. and her canine are an inch and a half long. who bites an elbow anyway.
  11. I saw a recapitulation of the race earlier this week. He did well, if I remember he finished 3rd. Impressive with such a massive machine.
  12. I haven't used my keys for my comanche since I bought it. I don't even know where they are. :rotf:
  13. It's time to trash the planet! When you pop the hood, it's in the middle near the firewall behind the engine block. You can unplug it from top, but if you want to unscrew it, you have to be under the truck, just behind the front wheel. On my 2.5L at least. Not sure about the 4.0 :hmm:
  14. Yo! Yep, I had a breakdown of electrical, ignition on a bridge. Not funny. Overall it costed me 400$(towing) for a : Crank sensor cable that melted on the exaust. Just cut the wire, reweld it together, replug. So if you have a spare minute, just check the routing of your cable to save you a couple of hundred dollars to see if it doesn't fall in the headers/exaust. Image from PETE M,from another thread thx. (pete, don't flame me please! It's for a good cause!) Mine was touching the exaust, obviously.
  15. Here you go, Pistures are always fum to look at. Nothing special about mine though, enjoy '88 Image Not Found Image Not Found
