Noob with a few questions
BLHTAZ replied to whoopingbob5's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
So Pete, you are saying that the AX-5 from a 2.5L will bolt up to the 2.8L? I have never dealt with the smaller engines so I am trying to learn a little here too ;) -
Just an FYI...you should fill in your profile location see folks know where "around here" is ;)
-
This is quite the machine, but it doesn't seem to move it away...just throws it up in the air... :hmm: to see it in action
-
Yea...they used to be called "spiders", but as Pete said...they are harmless and are just collecting information for Google / Yahoo searches so that when people that need us are trying to find good info...we will be there for them

I am not real up on tranny interchangeability, but I do know that the one from the 1991 will not work. The S10 idea sounds feasable to me, but again...not sure. -
:agree: That's what I have always seen as well.
-
That is very cool  . I would love to have that for a DD and a show toy. I wish even more that I had the ability to build it myself. I like the mixture of the old & new.

are the back of mj's way too light?
BLHTAZ replied to brdhntr's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
:agree: Exactly what I was going to say. I have driven trucks for years and even the full isze trucks have the same problem. Fortunately I don't have to deal with it here in FL, but in PA I always put weight in the rear to help stabilize it. I built a wood frame and loaded cinder blocks in it right over top of the axle. -
They say it's going to be below freezing down here tonight and tomorrow night. If it does get that cold, it will be the first time in 8 years... No snow will come here though :clapping:
-
My brother sent me pictures from NW PA on Saturday. They had 22" on the ground and were expecting at least 4-5 more  . It's been a long time since there was that much snow up there.

:rotf: :jump: :rotf: Don't know why I didn't think of that one... :clapping:

:shake: Every now & then you get one of those kind. At least it was just warnings and not tickets.

I was thinking about taking the info in the "Dash Removal" thread and putting someting together myself actually ;) We'll see...
-
Yea...kinda figured that too...which is why I bookmarked it for me ;)
-
PM them to me. Be sure to include the email address that you want the .PDF file sent to  I am a little busy this morning, but I can probably get to them and have them back to you by mid afternoon +/-

Yea...I didn't think of it before, but that is what we use the DIY forum for here. It is starting to fill with things that cover the items you are talking about and if they are not in there, then I guess we need to find a way to get them there ;) There is a thread in the Tech forum right now titled "Dash Removal" that has some great info in it an I believe that it should be moved to the DIY forum to be kept track of. I did my usual and bookmarked it for me too as I need to do a heater core sometime and I will want that info

It's just another one of those things that depends on where you are from in this the "United States of the Offended" that we live in now. :shake: Redneck is another term that a lot of people seem to be offended by, but in my learning, it is a name to be proud of  .
-
If your problem is no fire...then I agree... CPS
-
PM your VIN to me and I "may" be able to answer it faster than doing the Jeep email thing. Include an email address in your PM and I will email you a .PDF file of the sheet if I can get it

Way to have links open in new windows?
BLHTAZ replied to phenryiv1's topic in Forum Issues, Ideas, Testing
If using IE, right click on the link and select "open in new tab" or "open in new window". I brought up the same issue when we first changed over to this version, but have learned to live with it so far ;) . -
Just my opinion, but... Stickies are EVIL! I hate boards like that Maxima page that you have to scroll past a long list of stickies too get to the real conversations. I Admin on one board and have been a Mod on several others and I have always been against making a bunch of stickies. A sticky should be for something of temporary imortance and then removed in a short time. If there are threads that you want to keep track of, do like I do and make a folder in your favorites to put bookmarked threads in for quick reference

I think the biggest thing on the Steelers side in this one is experience. They will have the composure frm being there before where the Cardinals are going to be fighting the new experience. I don't care how composed a team is in getting to the Super Bowl...it's a different world when you get there and a huge hurdle to overcome being the first time there. The Cardinals are most definitely impressive and it has been the underdog (Wild Card team) to win the Super Bowl the last three years although the Cardinals are not Wild Card. As it should be in the big game...I don't really see a clear pick to dominate. This could easily go either way, but Super Bowls have most often been dominated by one or the other and are not typically a tight battle unfortunately. I personally like games (Super Bowl or not) that end in very low scores.
