  1. Do Cruiser's ground refresh to address the lighting issues. May also help the idle problem. Best bet, do all of his Renix tips. I think they're pinned in either Tech or DIY forums.
  2. The first photo shows a lot of added/repaired(?)/re-routed wiring so i'd expect some electrical issues. Nothing that can't be eventually overcome by use of a good OEM wiring diagram and a multi-meter. Interesting headliner. I'm curious how the buttons are attached to the backer board. Probably screwed in. Will make for an interesting headliner replacemant. If it drives out akay and has little rust, it might be worth $2,500, but I'd try to get him down. Based on the hacked wiring and the headliner treatment, I'd suspect some other unconventional repair/maintenence work will be found.
  3. Funny joke, but unfortunately true!
  4. Potential leak? On Don's truck? Never happen!
  5. Junkyards are full of horns, and relays if you don't want to buy new.
  6. Had some with 235-15s on my 88 for a while then sold them to a buddy for his XJ and he's sold them to another friend for his Wrangler. Looked pretty good on all of them.
  7. Check your fuse block for damage from clutch fluid (assume the cylinder was changed due to leakage?) Also, could have disturbed some fuses or wiring under the dash. Recheck the fuses and connectors, refresh your grounds.
  8. Now I remember seeing one. In a dash cam video of the meteor strike.
  9. OK, a little off topic, but I have ask Gomorgo what his DD is. Maybe my eyes are getting old or maybe I've never seen one of whatever it is. And, maybe I have seen one and it's just my CRS is kicking in (again).
  10. Just one more example government idiocy. It's voluntary for now, but give it time. Next they'll send you a letter to tell you they've confiscated your evil pollution-spewing vehicle for the good of the people.
  11. Nobles41 - don't mean to hijackmthe thread, but what color do you need? I may have a set of tan ones in the garage.

    Prairie Fire

I thought I smelled wood smoke yesterday afternoon.
  13. The front view is what I liked. Kind of mini-Mogish look.
  14. Or, wait until 2020 and get a new Mercedes Benz mid-size pickup. Just saw an announvement of their intent to add it to their Sprinter line-up. You'll have to fight your way through the mass of high income-low common sense individuals who will be lining up to buy them as the latest automotive status symbol.
  15. That thing is actually kinda cool, in a way.
  16. Received my set today. These things are fantastic. At $30 a pair they're a steal! I'll post pictures when I get them painted and installed.
  17. Those wheels look a lot like the Pacesetters on my '91 with Jeep centers added.
  18. Fronts will, rears won't.
  19. I'm sure Mom's really glad to have her back in the USA. I think maybe Dad is also! It's obvious (and well deserved) that's he's pretty proud, too! We're all happy for you, Don.
  20. Hey, Stroker. Are they done yet?
  21. I was rear-ended (not in my MJ) a couple of years back. The guy who hit me didn't have insurance. He was driving a friend's car, who also didn't have insurance. The officer who wrote the accident up gave the other driver a ticket for no insurance. The guy told the officer the owner was a block away, but the officer didn't bother to drive there and ticket the owner. A co-worker had stopped when he saw my truck so he and I went to see the owner. Guy wouldn't talk to me, just turned away and went into a building. Alabama has a law requiring liability insurance but there is either apparently no penalty or the police don't bother to enforce it. Cost me a $250 deductible. From what my insurance agent said, they probably didn't bother trying to recover the repair cost. This kind of crap really hacks me. Just got mad again writing about it. Bottom line - there's people who acept responsibility for their life and actions and there's those who don't. I try not to associate with those in the second category.
  22. In. On any vehicle. With the possible exception of a classic muscle car.
  23. That's the warm air intake duct. There is a flapper valve in the front of the air filter box that is actuated to draw intake air from around the exhaust manifold when temperatures are low or from behind the grill when temperatures are warmer (the normal state for the intake air). You don't have to do anything to the manifold if you remove the hose. Most of them dried up and fell off long ago.
  24. Outstanding truck and CC member! Both represent the MJ community very well. Wish I had the patience (and ability) for your level of detail on the build. Thanks for all you do for fellow members.
